EQ2: Poison Leveling Exploit : EverQuest 2 Nerfed Info

Okay being a free member I dont know if this has been submitted but hey what the heck.

if you take a higher level ranger(or anyone with poisons) and mentor down your poison is suppose to scale down with you but if you mentor down then zone out of the zone your in and back in your poison switchs back up to its real level, so your 50th level ranger now becomes a killing machine for pushing people through lower levels and can easly take down orange mobs while mentoring

I'm not sure on this part but however, I do know if you have your poisons on and mentor down lets say to a lvl 7 char your poisons will stay in effect,at least when I had my lvl 23 scout I did this to push my friends char through the forest ruins and lvled him fast.

If this one is true I'd take every bit of advantage of it...before it gets nerfed.Major P/L

Just tried this again tonight with my lvl 22 ranger...mentored him down to my friend who is lvl 8 and my poisons were still working and I didn't have to zone...but if you do zone and keeping your poisons in your activatable slots and hotkeyed your charges will go back up without using the charge.

So yes this does work.

Quick question, never used poisons are they like ring effects that you cast and when you mentor down are you seeing a good exp gain? Was thinking this would be sweet exp if you were mid to high 40's and mentored down in paw.

When you activated the poison buff, every hit on the mob will give the poison a 5% chance to proc. When you have a good poison its about 300direct damage and 40dmg every 6seconds (lasts 30 seconds). Or you can have a poison with 139 direct damage with 139 damage every 6 seconds (lasts 30 seconds).

Is that a melee only thig? Being a mage and casting all my dmg. would I see any use from it? Thanks btw for the info.

yeah its melee only, I dont know of ny poisons a cast could use

I noticed it more when using my Bow more so than my melee....this also works with your rings...before mentoring down right click to use them THEN mentor down...buffs stay active

its working for melee, bow and bow CAs. you can´t use poisons with a mage, its for scouts only

Can you buy poison arrows for like a zerker and it work? I dunno how poison works heh...

Poision use is a skill. Hit L in-game to bring up your skills window. If you see it, you can use it. If not, you can't. Period. I don't play scouts, so I don't know much about the fine points of poision usage, but AFIK they're the only ones who use em.

Not all scouts can use poisons. Only the predator sub-classes can use it to my knowledge which means, Rangers and Assassins.

Lucky for me I'm a 50 Ranger and I'm gonna try to PL another toon on a different account using this.
