Matrix...free? : FPS / MMORPG / RTS Discussion

I has been announced that if people continue leaving matrix online and sales do not go up. sony will be making mxo a free game. now this means a couple things

Pros
It will be free to play
more people will be online
you dont have to worry about paying for no content


cons
No more live events(not like there are many now)
no more LESIG
every major update will be bought as an expansion rather then a free patch.
Even worse customer support.

the game is dead, i wouldnt play it anymore even if it was free even though i really enjoyed it when it first came out

i stopped playing a while back just cuz it was 15 dollars a month for no content basically, so if its free id play it again.

live events where what made it fun in the firstplace for me. even though i wasnt high enough a level to do much usually i still tried

i still play the game regularly. if you're into RP then i really don't think there's a better game for it than MxO. The lack of content has really made for a brilliant RP community.

Anyone heard any more news about this game becomming Free2Play and also where did this rumor start ?
