PostPosted: Wed Jan 28, 2004 11:53 pm    Post subject: Problems with EQ

Is Xunleashed working properly with EQ? I purchased Xunleashed for SWG, but recently have moved back to EQ and I cant seem to get it to work correctly. It lauches fine, then i get to the server selection screen and i hit the connect button and then........nothing. EQ never finishes loading. Ive tried running EQ in windowed and non-windowed mode. Any suggestions?

I had another user with that same problem, but could not narrow down what was causing it.

What OS, video drivers are you using?

I am running WinXP pro with the lastest updates and SP installed. I have a MSI MX-5600 video card with driver version 4.4.0.3. One gig of DDR PC2700 RAM and a AMD XP1900+ chip with a MSI motherboard.

Hmm.. I will have to add some more debugging output to help find the problem.

Yes, there are a couple of users with this problem. I am trying to reproduce it so I can fix it.

Do you have any other eq utility or program running in the background?

Creatives SB live, and my mouse tool. But tried disabling both, and the the problem is still there. Not sure its a compability problem, seems like it just freezes when EQ changes windows (from serverselect to loading screen).

Hope this help.

Jear, you are using a GFti200? With the latest drivers?

Also, have *ALL* windows XP updates and patches?

Do you know the make/model exactly of your graphics card?

I am having the same problem. I select the server and the game locks up. Have you isolated the source of the problem?

I am running XP 1800, Win XP, 1 gig ram ATI 9800 pro. Updated win drivers

Any news on this problem? Its a pretty nasty lock up by the way. Sometime I have to do a hard reboot to get my machine back. Do you have some debug code I can run.

On the previous post I meant to say update graphics card drivers with directX 9.0b. I am just running windows XP no patches.

I loaded it up just fine. So I'm wondring what the differences could be. I'm on XP, G4200, with 9.0b.

Try patching your OS with all the patches. Includeing .net 1.1 framework.

Just wondering, what does it look like in EQ, have never been able to get it to work, is it like it is in SWG? Also have all patches and update drivers on XP pro.
