Not sure if anyone has said this yet or been posted, because i just got back from iraq and havent been able to read everything that has been posted since i have been gone.
In ZA the gauntlet run before Akil'zon, if you take a priest and have him Mind Control one of the back adds that spawn as you first start your run up the hill. Mind Control will despawn those adds and stop all adds from spawning. All you need to do is just kill the adds going up to the boss, saves about 15 minutes so you can make the timer to get your Phat Leewt.

I have tried but it didn't work! 
I have mind controlled one of the two add that comes from the back but he didn't despawn and other adds came while I was mind controlling him.

Yea i just ran za last nite and it has been nerfed, damn them it was so nice. but good while it lasted

I haven't bothered to search and I am not looking for pats on the back...
But you do know that all you have to do is either A take a warlock in there or have a resser soul stoned befor going in.
KIll the first patrol (2 adds) that path near the entrance to ramp to Akzilon.
Then you just have everyone mount up, get your tank to lead the way and ride all the way up to the top where the mob is that when you kill he stops spawning the birds. All you do is on the right of him on the same level is a cubby. You all ride into there and die..... let it all reset, res, rebuff and work backwards from the last mob(that despawns birds on stairs), to the ramp and down it and get no birds....
Then continue on to boss and so on....
