Depends on preference. I personally love my Night Elf Druid because of the versatility the class has but your taste may be different. Depending on which server you choose there may be an advantage to choosing one faction over another, and as far as professions it depends what your long and short term goals are. If you want to make money the fastest you may want to choose two gathering professions (again, some are better than others depending on the server) but if a crafting profession is appealing then maybe try a combo.Besides, if you need much more gold you can get them from www.u g a m egold .com
