How do I transfer my FFXI account? : FFXI General Discussions

How do I go about transfering my FFXI account to someone else? I want to know what do I say to the square employee to have him change the name and bill to address, whitout having to tell my friend my cc info, or him giving me his. I'll say it again, we'd like not to have to share any of our CC info.

I stopped playing the game 2+ months ago. I decided to either delete or give away my char, if I could find someone worthy of a lvl 60 paladin. I didn't want to sell it to some !@#$%^&* who'd ruin the game for everyone I used to play with. The beauty in this is the guy gets to go forward by leaps and bounds, even if he was to switch class. You still keep the rank, the crafting lvls, the fame, the quests done, the rank 5 mules, etc. In this saturated economy it's a much brighter way to get into the game than buying it on amazon for 15$.

Uh, just change your address and billing address information to nonsense.
He'll be responsible for changing the credit card number, he can't read your credit card number even if he's got the password. (Well, except last 4 digits, not gonna help him.)

If he doesn't change the credit card information (aka, you're still billed) just retake the account (just claim it was stolen, you have the ffxi keys and valid cc information) and sell it again.

I suppose that is done through the POL menus?

playonline official stand on this is that the game is not transferable. i aquried my cousins account and called them to change name info nope not possible this game is non transferable. can not be resold or etc. you get the drift. just wipe out cc info before transfer .

Thanks for the help. As it turns out the guy who's brother would play with him is unemployed, so I guess my AF and all the EX stuff I own will soon go into the big void.
