Lost Elvaan! : FFXI General Discussions

hey if there are any high lvl warriors here i need some help.
currently i am a 54 elvaan war/nin and i am not sure that the gear i have is the best i need help with what i should be using and what foods to eat.
currently i am armed with:
Weapon : Dual - Wield Viking Axe
Head: Iron Muskateer's armet
Body : Iron muskateer's cuirass
hands: Iron muskateer's mufflers
legs: Iron muskateer's cruisses
feet: AF boots
back: Gaia mantle
belt: Life belt
earings: drone earrings
rings: 1 sun ring, 1 balance ring

i eat wild steaks for food

is there better gear to increas my stats more or do i just suffer with weak hits?
