youngyodajr, I appreciate your concern in this matter, but I do moderate the Guild Wars forums, and I will lock a thread if I find it is heading in a direction that is completely tangent to what this board is for. The threads you are probably thinking about (of which there are very few) were requests from non-premium members for bots. Obviously, should we help the guy that just wants to leech and not pay for the site or submit information? My answer is no.
I am not unhelpful about bots. In fact, if you could do a search on the boards, you would see that I am trying to do everything I can to get XU fully functional for Guild Wars. What you are suggesting is not what I would call a "bot." What you are suggesting is nothing more than a simple keyboard macro repeated over an amount of time. The only bots that are in the premium section for the time being are ones that are written in more complex scripting languages, such as Ruby, because XU is not fully functional for GW yet. Yes, I could take the time to write a completely new interface to modify memory locations for GW and sniff packets and send packets, etc, but I don't want to start from scratch when there is already something built for this. All XU is missing for GW is the service that does these things.
A bot has the ability to make decisions based on criteria. A "bot" can choose the path of least resistance by looking for monsters and their location. Can your EZMacro programs do that? They cannot, and that is why I do not consider them "bots." If you have a bot now, why not share it with the community? I have scripted macros and bots for over a year for Ultima Online using EasyUO (snicker7 on the EasyUO boards, if you ever visit them), so I know what I'm talking about. So before you accuse me of being unhelpful... maybe you should read some of my other posts. Especially seeing as you only have 2 posts yourself.
