MrArgus FAQ
Lately I have been seeing a lot of MrArgus topics... and each time it's the same thing and/or has been answered already. This is my first time posting ever on this site; and I have found MrArgus numerous times, but I am going to take the liberty of making a FAQ and providing links to a working one. Okay time to get started

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MrArgus
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I uploaded a working MrArgus onto RapidShare, scanned, includes English Pos, NPC.exe, PC.exe, and MrArgus, also has new Offsets. Added new links, due to the fact that I found another MrArgus. Scanned two times by http://virusscan.jotti.org/. Feel free to scan and post a report on here.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tutorial-MrArgus
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taken from a post somewhere on this site (A picture), I shall explain what each action does. -Edit- The one that you can download is not in English, but I hope this guide is specific enough to help you guys understand it. ^^

[onyx wrote this part, lol]

Freq. = Frequencey - This is the amount of times that your macro button will be pressed. And you will here it go off real fast in repetition. Ive noticed a Freq of about 1 can cause it to not go off. (that or it presses it too fast to register) I usually use 30. It spams my macro quite a bit but at least I know its working.

Rise - this is used to make your character hop up in the air when you warp. That way if there are rocks (leaping lizzie camp) you stand a chance of warping past them safely. I usually keep my Rise at 8.

Wait - You find your own wait that works for you.
If you have a really fast connection and computer you will have a higher wait time. (Since you are aware of the NM sooner than other/slower players)
If you have a really slow connection and computer you will have a lower wait timer. (Since you are tardy to the party =P )

[Thanks onxy]

When I used MrArgus a lot, I was having best luck with wait time @ 1800. It usually varied by about 200ms (1600~2000).

I think the Wait thing is most hard for people to understand who werent using MrArgus before you needed Wait. It used to be that MrArgus pwned all and when it detected a pop....that was it, end of story, you had the claim. To other peoples screens with slower connections or in different geographical locations, they saw the NM pop RED (claimed). So SE made an update that changed the rules a bit. Now, when monsters pop, they cant be claimed for a short duration (which is random each time). That way, the early bird (usually a botter) doesnt always get the worm.

Warp ON/OFF - This is pretty obvious right? Do you want MrArgus to use its Warp ability? Or do you just want it to press your voke macro?

Repeat ON/OFF - This is the setting to make MrArgus reset itself after each pop. It waits about 10 sec after it catches the NM/goes off , before it resets.
Repeat On) If selected MrArgus will reset it self at a time interval of 10 seconds.
------
To mob) Sort of obvious. Pulls you towards the mob as soon as MrArgus detects the mob's ID you're looking for.
------
Draw Near) Draw's a doll(fake Mob of what you're scanning for.) towards you, helpful if you don't want to actually get caught cheating, because after it gets drawn to you could follow from where it came from to find the mob, fast and quite efficient.
------
Wait) How long of an interval MrArgus will wait to use your Macro.(Time is in milliseconds.) *TIP* Default setting was 2700, apparently it's not fast enough, try 1800-2300you can adjust it to what you want though, totally up to. Do not make it too fast though, because if it is too fast it won't work. *EDIT* IN the .ini file is shows your wait, MAKE SURE AFTER CHANGING IT IN MRARGUS YOU CHECK THE .ini FILE TO MAKE SURE IT CHANGED THERE TOO, if already opened(.ini file) close and re-open.)
------
Alt / Ctrl 0-9) Obviously this is what macro MrArgus will use once the mob pops and is detected.
------
Clear) Clears log under everything, which is basically just what you have done.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MrArgus~Use
--------------------
To use MrArgus you need a macro in either Alt OR Ctrl and in any macro slot from zero to nine. Default setting is on ALT so if you want a ctrl macro change it to the ctrl option. Here is a sample macro. *EDIT* With new OFFSETS(posted below, will update file on Rapidshare.(Thanks everyone for help.)

*Example*
Line1:
/ma "Dia" <t>--(EXAMPLE)
Line2:
/wait 2--(Best wait time for starting an attack after any fast spell/JA so it doesn't look anymore suspicious than it already is.)
Line3:
/attack <t>
-------------------------------------------------------------
WITH New Offsets MrArgus does NOT require a macro with /targetnpc.
--------------------------------------------------------------
NPC.exe~Mob ID Identifier.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are two buttons on this program, I do not have a picture but it should be pretty easy to figure out.
-----------------
Start/Scan/Begin) Whatever you want to call it the first bottom, or farthest to the left is that button, it will scan the area for mobs, list them as they come up and their ID.
----
Stop/Done/Finish) Obviously, scanning and clears the log.
-----------------------
PC.exe~N/A
---------------
Actually I haven't tested this program out yet, but I will, I'm pretty sure it'll just scan for PCs in the area, probably to tell you where / if people are in the area(PCs are other people like you.).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mob ID's and You
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so you just downloaded this program and you open it up and are ready to camp let’s say... Spook, but you scroll down the list and find only a few Mobs, but not Spook, well have no fear my friend because Spook's ID is only a few clicks away.

Open on your NPC.exe program position it on your screen somewhere where you can see it / access it and hit the start button, now a list of mobs will come up, since we're talking about Spook he should come up(it scans for mobs and finds there ID even if they haven't spawned yet or are dead.) Okay so a list of numbers / letters a number and a % come up and a name, this is the mobs ID, HP%, and Name. Keep it up and go to your MrArgus folder / file and open up the Data File and enter the mobs NAME first then without spaces put a comma, and their ID, should only be 4 numbers. and with the MrArgus MAIN file still open save this document.
-----------------
Second Method~Add
-------
Okay so you're running around and don't know if you have time to do all the stuff listed above, but you have NPC.exe open and MrArgus, don't fret, as there is a solution. Go to where a Previous name is and rename it whatever mob you want then go to the ID and use that Mobs ID and hit ADD, then start the scanning, Tada you just added a Mob ID faster then you could before. The only problem with this is I think it takes up the previous mobs name / ID, not positive but I'm pretty sure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Search
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please, use the search feature if you need any other info on MrArgus and you couldn’t find it in this post; or post it if it’s really important, lol.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Links
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MrArgus/NPC/PC/POS Link:(Haven’t made a pos tutorial as I'm sure most people know how to use it already.)
English Version, thanks onxy, you're a BIG help in this FAQ, lol.
--------------------
SEARCH Function: http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpbb2/search.php
Please, please use this if you need anything else and can't find it on the first page. -.-
--------------------
That's about it, after MANY posts / updates I cannot take all the credit for this so I would like to post a few peoples names that helped at the bottom, scroll down a bit, :p. I hope this is useful to all the people on TaultUnleashed, if people don't want the link to be revealed to other people I will take it off. But I would like for this tutorial to stay up so people can stop wasting time/space.
(Take Care.)

For some reason in POS, when I use the F1-8 keys, it warps me somewhere. Sometimes it just moves me a certain direction a few feet, other times it warps me to completely random spots on the map.

Are the F1-8 keys shortcuts for the record 0-6? or is it something in the programming... I know the JP POS didn't have this problem

Any tips on the "Wait" time you should put? Cus if i put a 2000 delay and a /wait 2 in macro pretty sure i'll lose the pull even worse.

F1-F8 Are shortcut keys, that's what the Add1-9 is for, goto a location hit add 1 move just a little away and hit F1, you'll move to that location. And for it being random, I'm not positive on that but I guess that's because when you hit one of those buttons Pos searches for where you should've been and just takes you to a random spot, that's just an estimation.

No, the /wait 2 is for AFTER you casted your spell OR used your JA, so you can't possibly loose the pull. And as for the Wait on MrArgus, I suggest 2700, as that was the Default one, I'll put it in now. Thanks for notifying me of this.

2700 wait? I've lost claim by a lot using 1500 wait before and before I've gotten the 'You cannot perform that action' message with 1500 delay. It seems to me the wait differs on different spawns... because I can never get it right so I just gave up on it and have more luck claiming without it Mad

Yup same, today i decided to go try on spook, did 1850 and claimed it, then did 1700, too fast... Did 1850 again, and didnt claim. So im guessing delay randoms every time. But theres people in my server im sure they using this claiming behemoth everytime, not targetting or anything, but they get Behemoth everytime.

Well I bet there are better programs out there, but MrArgus is your best bet, and if you went from 1850 to 1700 back to 1850 you should've tryed 1800, Idk I'll switch it up in the faq since between 1800-2300 seems good, but if it's random everytime like you guys said... well that makes it pretty useless, I'll ask a buddy how much delay he's using, he got VE last night so what he has it at will probably be good. While I'm waiting for his response I'll look for another MrArgus, and test it out... I should have another update for you guys tomorrow. Very Happy

Haven't been able to find another Argus that actually targets the mob for it self, so you'll have to stick to /targetnpc I suppose, sorry, if you want a better program I guess you'll have to wait until Ghost 3 comes out or, look for another better program, I highly doubt you'll find one but you never know.

Why do you want it to target the mob? If you make a /targetnpc macro pretty sure it will target whatever its in range first, so it might target flies at Fafnir for example. MrArgus vokes without targetting, so dont need targetnpc
