Help with 55 monk. : GW Guide Discussion

Well i am currently making a 55 monk. And i have some questions. One is does your seconday profession matter for a 55 monk? If so what should I be. Also it said what skills i should use, but i had a question on where do I get these skills. I've been looking around different places but i dont seem to find all of them. Thanks.

I always use guidwiki.com it has a brilliant database that is cross referenced to death.

Go to main page. Click on skills. Choose Monk. Then scroll down the list of skills. Click on the one that interests you, it will tell you where to get it, if you have to pay for it, if you can get it through a quest or wether it's a signet of capture type one.

A large majority of 55 Monks use Warrior secondary...but there are other possiblities..

Warrior-
Bonetti's Defense - to tank more monsters and dodge 75% of their attacks

Ranger-
Serpent's Quickness - to allow skill such as Shield of Judgement to recharge quicker, thus doing more damage

Elementalist-
Aftershock - Used in combination with Shield of Judgement to deal ~140 dmg every 10 seconds while they're knocked down

Necromancer-
Spiteful Spirit [elite]-Used instead of Shield of Judgement, just cast this on 2-3 surrounding monsters and watch as they kill themselves

Mesmer-
Arcane Echo- To cast SoJ twice in a row
Mantra of Resolve - To prevent interrupts

For droks i take me
for UW i take warr

I would go /mesmer for Mantra of Concentration and i got all of my skills at Droknars Forge, Lions Arch, and Kaineng Center .

Well i say me for sure, thats what my 55 monk is becAUSE when u can st Shield of judgement twice you won't spend so much time waiting, it speeds thingss up a lot, but you would need to take a monk skill out, i would recommend no mend in a 55 monk build, unless you keep dieing, so i hope this helps a little
