Be careful with POS!!!! : FFXI General Discussions

Kind of goes without saying, but, be careful with POS folks! GMs appear to be on the lookout now more than ever.

I got handed a 73 hr suspension (without parole, lol) tonight for warping around Riverne Site #401 killing NMs with DoT spells.

Two words: (Take Care) with P.O.S. programs of anytype.

POS for travel is still relatively safe.


The problem with this (Carmine Dobsonfly?) is that you have to pos around alot, for a long time, and you have to do it while visible (pretty much)

If you pos once, you're probably safe, unless you were watched.

Also I personally avoid using any movement hacks in major mining zones etc, and BCs.

Aye, using POS hacks in mining zone and BC is like robbing a liquor store next to the police station... it's possible, but you're likely to be caught.

I suppose folks should add Riverne401 and 501 to the list of places not to POS in.

(BTW, I've been POS'n for 3+months and never been caught until I tried this exploit. The GM never asked me about warping in the past... only what he caugt me trying to solo Carmine Dobsonflies)

seems like someone passing by that you weren't even aware of could have seen you and called a gm. Has anyone ever gotten busted using POS or fleetool in a bc alone? I've been using them in enm's and such for awhile now and nothing has happened

Yeah, that was my impression too.

I searched every few minutes while I was up there, but, there's a distinct possibility that someone logged in to check if NM was up and saw what I was doing, thus calling GM, and then logging off.

Either way, it's unlikely I will be using POS again... at least not for a few months. (That is if I don't get the perma-ban, in which case I'll never get to use it... lol)

Yeah, I solo 5 ENMs with POS every week for several months and I have never had a GM contact me *knocks on wood*.

I always have my xunleashed radar up when using these to make sure there is not anyone near me, invisible or not.

I to have done several ENMs, my brother and myself dueo them every chance we get, with a huge success rate. I've never been questioned by a gm, or by any other player for that matter because the zone is empty or near empty every time.
Btw unless a gm actually catches you it is your word agains the other players. I had my mule account bahned for dragging my dead body around the dunes for fun... Wouldn't have gotten caught cept for some guy narked me out.

im totally stuck on my bst AF in garliage citadel n NO-one will help me with the gates /cry. . where can i get the pos hack ? n its a genuine question not some !@#$%^&* tryin to catch y'all out. ive lost so much exp on this piece of crap armour that im prolly gonna quit if i die anymore

Hi all I know POS is a no no topic right now but I am will to take that chance of getting caught as I am on my way out of FFXI. And if I get caught and banned I will have a permanent excuse not to return.
I have searched for offsets and how to obtain them but no dice.
Can anybody tell my How to obtain offsets or what is the new offsets as
of sept 2007. I would like to learn how to obtain offsets for myself so I would not have to beg people. And also contribute to the community.

It's not the issue of the Offsets right now. It's a matter of the program has been nerfed. As for updates, I don't know if there will be one for a long, long time.

Position hacking still works...

Every single Thread for the last... I don't know... month, month and a half has said "blah blah blah POS blah blah blah busted blah blah blah doesn't work anymore *insert unhappy face here* blah blah blah someone help me blah blah blah can't be done anymore." That's where I got that from, Atti. And if I'm not mistaken. POS is in the nerfed section now.

It still works, but only prob is that you won't find it on this site.
