WTF, Seriously!? NAY! People hit a stretch of dumb luck and call it an exploit, gg. Random is RANDOM PEOPLE!! Sure, just like any other random number generator it CAN be cracked... but the algorithm is a hell of lot more complicated that any1 on this site will ever be able to comprehend.

Here's another idea also... let's NOT count votes from people who got premium for free. I don't vote on these things cause really... I don't give a damn... but I can't count the number of stupid/common sense/already PUBLICLY posted things that people are getting free prm on nowadays (aka since the useless tault merge). If it isn't something NEW that these people are discovring 1st hand... then they shouldn't be getting prm for it. I think the last person who actually DESERVED the free prm was atti.

Arogant little....

Go to ffxi.allkhazam.com and go under the main forums. Read the damn article and try it for yourself... I sat in crawler's Nest for like 2 hours and I got it to work 90% of the time... Don't tell me something doesn't work until you've tried it for yourself...

Actuly heard that the random goes off the milliseconds off your computer clock. :/ That's what LS mates talked about on vent, said since windower has calls or hooks or something *Not a kick !@#$%^&* computer knowledge person* said you can macro it in or something so you don't have to time yourself.

actually i have a working trick....

Lot a split second before the clocks last number turns even for 999, right after for 1, right on even for 0 and right on odd for 500.

Works because the random and lotting system is based of 2.500 seconds to the tick, but it adds in an extra 1.000 every 20 ticks. Strange but it works, you need to test it out in a low lag area.

Once you get your timing right with your lag you can then test it in a lag full area. This trick is why they choose lower jeuno fountain as the casino spot. so to be safe there just aim to lot after odd.

Note: also helps if you are in first person view.

Also... many people have confirmedthis works but there are still some idiots that give up on this after 10 tries. takes about 100 tries to prove this wrong or right. all depends on your "r" and "s". you got decent lag that is dependable and you are set to be 900+ always. I made millions off this GL

need 300+ tests to 'prove' anything really.

also - if you are trying to exploit lag, for gods sake turn down the damn settings >_<. If you're lagging like hell you can't expect something like this to work.

What I want to see is a parse - use ffxip or something, and record several hundred randoms, and post the full results here.

/random
/wait 2.1
/random
/wait 2.1
/random

Go ahead...
In an area with little lag... You'll get the same number each time... Not sure if 2.1 will work, but I know you get the same number if you do it exactly on 2.1 each time...

nah becasue it isn't in 100ths of a second its 2500 milliseconds to 1 game minute... aka 1 tick of the clock, plus they add in an extra 1000 every 20 game minute. so you have to time it.

I am very interested in trying to develope something to test this...the problem is I just don't know enough >_< I don't know how to make different programs interact.

Second, I want to try and test out /randoms to see if there is any corrolation between them and my systems clock...there might be and that would probably be the easiest to work with. Sadly, I don't know how to make Java look at the system clock for comparisons...or how to make my program know what number was rolled with the /random.

If there isn't a corrolation with my systems clock, I was going to try and look at the server. Pinging there server is pretty much sending a signal to them and seeing how long it takes for the signal to get back to me? Pretty sure SE would know if something was up if I was doing that... Maybe I could measure the time between when I send a /random out and when I get the information back. Do that a few times to get an average message sending time and incorporate that into when to do the /randoms.

I do think that there is something to the /randoms being based off the clock and I would like to experiment with that. even if its not, I'll have gotten some valuble programming experience.

Sooo...anyone have a good tutorial I can read?

On this I found that if you roll 900+ it's not the roll directly after that roll that is high, it's the second roll after you roll 900+.
Rolls 900
Rolls 124
Rolls 620
Those are my averages. Just a thought.

The /randoms most likely really aren't random. Just as taking a random a random integer from a calculator. For instance, if you have TI-83 and type 36->rand then type randInt(1,100,1) the number you will get will be 85, even though it's supposed to be random. The game probably follows a probably chart like that. It probably also changes it's base pretty frequently though.

I've tested JasonBarker's theory and it certainly does not work. For it to work you would have to believe that if you random anytime before the clock turns even you will get a number between 500-999 and if you random anytime before the clock turns odd you wil get a number between 0-499.

Now try spamming random before odd and before even and see what happens. The numbers do not match up.
