How many people in teh community have gotten into the beta? None of my friends that have entered for beta have gotten in, so I have no idea how this game is? Anyone in or has played the game and can give some info on the game?

It's not beta, it's alpha... and I doubt any one from here has gotten picked, and even if they had, it's against the NDA to tell people whether or not you're in alpha/beta. So unless it comes from the turbine devs, you probably wont hear much about the game from the community seeing as how they would get kicked out a alpha/beta in a heart beat.

They hand picked very few people to actually join the first phase of 'public' alpha. So unless you've been following the game since it was known as MEO and have been posting on the official web site, I doubt any one from this site will get in any time soon, including my self.

...and why is this a sticky?

Its not just posting that gets people into the alpha. People that actually just signed up for have gotten into it. Plus, this whole site is against the NDA lol if a company where to sign up, they break our CoC and can get into trouble. How would they be able to kick someone out of the alpha if they didnt even have their IP?

Its a sticky because its a discussion. if you have problem with how things are done, either pm me or the admin.

how do I know?

several people that I know signed up for beta got in...all during alpha 2...and they were not paying real close attention to the game...they were busy with other games...

ummmm alpha 3 started on Monday the 21st. All alpha 2 characters were wiped that day

how is it klemm?

Pretty cool so far, I have a level 6 hunter. Alpha 3 ends tomorrow morning. So I'm pretty much just running around exlporing, trying to hit some of the major POIs. Been to Bag end, party tree, and by water so far. All really cool.

Combat is pretty damn fun too. I was fighting spiders in a group a little while ago, and one came down from the trees on a thread which was pretty neat.

Game play is really smooth for being in alpha, and my computer runs it maxed out on all graphics almost perfectly, which really suprosed me. I have the following specs atm:

HT 2.4 ghz processor
GF 6800
2 gigs of ram

Finally made it to the Prancing Pony... Aragorn (Strider) is still there, for those of you wondering what time the game is taken place.

So what would you rank the game?

I'd have to say 8/10 for still being in the alpha stages

I won the MMORPG.com Beta contest for this game so I will be playing soon!

Beta will probably happen in early or mid-November.
