EQ2 Cheats: Never-ending repairs on raids! Subject description: Screw repair kits, how about never-ending repairs? |

Credit goes to newbsnacks for this exploit
With the new tinkered "portable mender", you have 5 minutes to repair items before he despawns. However, if you keep the repair window open he will not despawn and you can keep him up the entire raid or whatever.

That's going to take a while to confirm Naz. It's a minimum level 40 tinker item and you need all the correct transmuted items -- most likely mana vials, and those are going to be expensive.

No this does not exactly work like that on live. What you have to do is have somebody zone in cast the mender bot and then he /exits out. It stays the whole time you are in the zone. When you are done raiding, he actually zones out with the raid. No window has got to stay open. That will not work. The caster has actually got to /exit the game and stay out the raid. If you know what I mean since you can zone whomever in with you and /exit them and bring the replacement person back in.. Voila...
See you all later.

I understand what you are saying, but I have question(s):
1) Is the mender a part of the actual raid and if so do they take a slot? From your last statement it doesn't appear so.
2) Do you have to cast it while being part of the raid group or can you drop from the raid first then cast it? I.e. essentially leaving it in the zone, but not in the raid.

1. You invite the tinkerer into the raid.
2. The tinkerer summons the mender bot while in the raid.
3. Tinkerer /exit's out of the game thus leaving the raid.
4. Mender Bot stays in the zone.
5. Invite a replacement back into the raid that was waiting outside the zone or whatever.
6. Enjoy repairing the whole raid.
I hope that clarifies any questions anyone may have.

and as per the original exploit it works as long as you don't go 50m away from the mender bot.

Are you referring to the /quit out original, the zone out original, or the keep a window open original ?
