No more carpet delay : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

The new mount delay that has been added to mounts, horses, carpets, etc. is pretty annoying. If you start moveing right before the buff finishes casting you will be able to skip the delay. In pvp it is nice to get some extra ground on people. Out of pvp, it is nice just to stop the annoying 2 second lag time.

I know this works with the carpets. No idea about the horse mounts. Maybe somone can try thoes and see if they work also. I imagine they would.

I've tried this a few different ways and couldn't get rid of the back up delay. I tried turning right in place, strafing right, and even diagonal with no luck.

Btw, I am NOT on a PVP server (if that matters???)

Anyone else?

The mounting delay is very annoying just after zoning.

This isn't for the backing up uberslowness anti mounts of fun that SoE just implimented into our game. Err, I mean, I also have yet to figure out a way around the -95% backwards run speed.

This is useful for KoS zones after using carpets, clouds, or whatever form of transportation you are using. It allready takes time to cast the mount, no sence in haveing to wait around another 2 seconds.

Honestly, the even slower backwards moveing speed is annoying when you are trying to tank in an open zone, and trying to pull mobs. Leaves you almost no coice in most situations other than to ditch the mount, and pull on foot. Hopefully your horse animations make you feel like more of a man. Because I don't think they are worth it.
