Blacksmithing : Vanguard Discussion

I am a blacksmith and my gathering = mining ( duh ). Now i am mining here and there ( hard 2 find the spots ). But now my question comes. I got some recipes but it all requires copper bars and such. Now how do i make copper bars ? I got all these copper thingies ( forgot name again ) that you get when you mine. But is there a way 2 convert - melt them to copper bars ?

You have to take them to a forge to smelt them.
