Well botters! Looks like we got a day off at grinding lol.

Anyway I want to take this opportunity to ask you all a question regarding bots ( as I'm sure that there will be more users logging in to check the forums once they realise that their bots don't work :P).

Anyway as you may know we have several people working on different bots and programs for VG.

-Binafus is working on his bloodmage bot and waypoint maker.
-Wyvernx on a crafting bot and updates for VGE.
-Kumqwat420 on the Dreadknight bot.
-Kumpel100 on the cleric bot.
-Owner2119 on the sorcerer bot.
-Gheezer on VGE radar
-Not sure if Tault_mississippi is still working on something, but he did create the resource HUD :P
-And Me (Antareus) is working on the paladin/warrior bots.

So like I said, it's a fair amount of people and programs that we're working on atm, but now is your chance to tell us what YOU want as a botter or just VGE user.
Now there are several things which are already in the works, such as a crafting bot and ports of released bots to other classes, but what I really want to know is what kind of features do you want from VG bots? And/or what kind of VGE applications would you like to be added as well?
I think you get the point so tell us your advice/suggestions that you have for us programmers, as well as questions if you have any.

Also a note to all the programmers. Lets take this oppertunity to work together, share some code, and improve on our current applications and make some greater ones in the future. In my experience, people working together to solve a problem or just create something, is usually fastter then a single mind trying to do everything by him or herself. (So yeah if you are a programmer and you have any questions, suggestions or just want to share some code, feel free to use this thread for that as well).

Well I guess that's it so lets get posting eh? :P

atm i work Primar to handle/check for double adds thats my biggest problem imo.

the most parts of code i use from Binafus while same needet in my cleric skript, just the fight routines are diffrent and looting.

so im lucky to get helps and idears for best way to search for double adds and best way how to handle it, atm kill the first target try to loot check for resting.. thats needs to many time and cost much mana to heal out the perma dmg you get.

The biggest problem I run into when botting is adds and aggro also.
I just try to find areas where there is not much aggro. Somehow I always get some kind of aggro, does anyone know a way to get the bots to avoid getting adds?

Best way to avoid adds is close waypoints.

2 Dot mobs Equal or one to two levels below you will usually net more exp per hour and there is a good chance you can handle two at a time.

Make sure there is no LOS issuses in your waypoints as well.

For the last two nights I have been redoing the code in the Blood Mage Bot to be Generic for all Classes.
I will need help probably starting Friday.

As far as the targeting, healing, resting, stam, power, etc I can handle that for every class in the main program I'm pretty sure.
The thing that will need programing is the actual kill function for each class.
I can not do that and it would be more work than I care to do as well.
You really can not fine tune a bot for a class you do not have and at level 5 a class plays different than level 20.

The second thing that will need lots of help has nothing to do with programing.
Stuff like buff names, durations, levels you get them, if you have invis or stealth if you can heal etc.
I can post a templete that if someone for each class they want the bot to work for will fill out.

I could see getting this going in days instead of weeks if people are insterested.

I do not want to step on anyones toes that is currently working on a bot.

Just thought the hard part is the actual fighting which is different for every class, this will take people that play the class to program it.

Then we could all use the same generic part of the code and anyone would be able to add to it to make it better.

.Net support is now available.!!!

Grab VGE1.7, include VGEWrapper.dll in your .net (C#, VB.Net etc) app, and create the VGExtreme.VGEWrapper object. Then you can call any of its functions.. (basically same as VGEScript)

PS will have AutoIT compatibility within a day or so. Just need to recompile with COM interop and will be good to go.

many spots have wanderng mobs so close waypoints not rly helps much.

we need a fighting routine with a sub to check for double adds and handle them bevor trying to loot and rest.

with my cleric i always going in spots with 3-4-lvl above me.
bloodmage 1-2 lvl highter then me. (all 2 dots.)

P.s one more day without botting ... urgs, manual grinding whats that??
