Moving to an NPC with VGExtreme : VGExtreme General Discussion

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use VGExtreme to walk to an NPC after targetting him/her. I'm sure it's a simple piece of coding given what's included in the d/l, but being the novice that I am, I am unable to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

Also note that MoveTo functions wll return true or false if it has moved close enough to the target or not. Ie it will walk for 5 seconds and then stop and return true/false.

If your target is more than 5 seconds away, you will need to call it multiple times.

This was done to allow other checks/processing to go on while moving.

PS. If the movement returns false, it will not stop moving, it will keep going. It assumes that you will call it again because you are not at the destination yet.

Gah who am I kidding, I can't code!

All my crafting is done via a keystroke/mouseclick macro. The only part I'm missing is the ability to walk to the Taskmaster NPC while he wanders around randomly. MoveToMob apparently will work as long as there are no obstacles in the way (there aren't), but obviously havn't the slightest idea how to write the script lol.

keep going towards the target (guided)? or keep going forwards (blind) ?
Also, does the moveto function you made check to see if it has reached the target, or is that for us to code ourselves?

thanks

keeps going forwards blind. Each call to MoveTo will move toward the target guided for 5 seconds. Then return control to the script. And will continue moving towards it blind. Ie it will keep the forwards button pressed.

Yes it stops when its within 5 in game units of the target.
