I'm hoping this will be somewhat translucent to the play base. We'll see changes, and many won't like them, while others will. SOE messed up with SWG, and they admitted that they did it with the implementation of the NGE. They have spent the time since NGE, trying to recover from it.

SOE can only help VG at this point. The stability issues found with VG need to be addressed now, and they (Sigil) was (more than likely) running short on funds to manage resources required for making it stable. I don't have a problem with SOE, especially since they inherited 50 of the developers from Sigil. It's not a new development team, it's the same one, with an SOE logo. SOE will, no doubt, add their own twist to the game, and try to improve where it doesn't need improving. On the same note, they will improve where it needs improving the most too.

It's a mutually beneficial decision/move. Now, if they could figure out how to increase the population, we'd all be that much happier...then again, they'd have to figure out server stability before that.

Sigil stated VG was a game ahead of it's time. Technology needs to catch up with the software, and until that happens, the issues we face with stability will continue to pose a problem.

A common missconception about SWG- NGE and SOE. Lucasart were the ones who handed SOE the orders and had to implint the NGE, due to licensing rights. If you need to blame someone, atleast put it on the correct door step.

But this time its them making the decisions and not Lucas arts. You think big companies like that want to lose money?
