Work Order System: An NPC will complete Work Orders (WO) for a fee. You can purchase several different types (Ore, Wood, Artifacts) of WOs. When you turn in the WO, you will be told how long it will take (typically 40 hours) to complete. Once you return after the time has been completed, you will be issued a key to a chest. Inside the chest will be your fulfilled order.
  • Wood location is Combe Lumber camp
Ore location is Silverdeep mine in Vale of Thrain
Scholar location is Scholar Enclave in Duillond
Easy Money
Hides location is in the Shire, in Overhills.

Purchase a Sturdy Hide Work Order, yea it will cost 30s but will be worth it if you are lucky. Wait the 40 hours. Come back, get the key, and look in the sturdy hide crate. If you are lucky you will get some items that are worth around 5-15g. These items are rare, as the mobs they come from can be very hard to find, or do not even exsist in the game.

The items you might get, and want to sell on the AH are the following:
  • Sagruz's Tooth - 10-12g
    Colnor's Scale - 5-10g
    Hoartusk's Horn - 5-10g
    Snowback's Claw - 5-12g
One thing you can do with the work order system is to create a dummy character to do the work for you. Just leave that dummy character next to the NPC (who does the work order). Have your main character send your dummy character the money he needs to buy the work order with. Buy the work order with the dummy character and whenever the work order time is complete just switch back to the dummy character and have him mail the stuff to your main character. This way you don't have to keep running back to pick up your order...(should save alot of time).

I have verified that we can do this at level 10.

NOTE: I compiled this from other boards - I can only claim the formating as original. :-)

from Evendim patch notes part 2:

" Removed the chance of getting monster trophies from crafting consignments and increased the amount of resources."
