Cinder ore collection for an easy T7 rare : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

On my server it works very well.

What you do is the following.
You buy the following collection pieces :
blemished cinder ore
marred cinder ore
chipped cinder ore
shattered cinder ore
scuffed cinder ore
Put them in the shared back and go and create a new character. This one completes the collection and hand it in.
The reward is:
70% xegonite cluster
15% rough moonstone
15% acrylia cluster
The number of % are taken when i did 100 of them.

You can than put the rare back in the shared bank and delete the character.
Keep on repeating

It was posted around the time KoS came out.

The rares are also so cheap now that it's hard to cover the cost of buying the collection items.

I used to do this back when the expanion first came out, but it's barely worth the effort now.

It depends on the server, I suppose. I just tried this on The Bazaar and managed to get all the shards for around ~16g all together. Each one of the rewards sells for at least 50g, so it's a decent profit, especially if you do it on characters you intend to keep anyway. Get yourself some money and experience/AA at the same time.
