Overland Raid Mobs : Vanguard Discussion

So anyone here tackle those and have any strategy input on them?

Dont fight any of them without first going to Frostshard lake and talking to torkalad(sp?) who mourns. He will give you a long backstory on all of the brothers and then some quests that reward awesome items in exchange for his brothers heads- Jagund, Fengrot, and Karax Woefeather, and Varking.
