Farming is basically finding a good place where kill mobs over and over again to make profits.

Also here ya go on iron ingots.

Enjoy

also pick items up and salvage them most anything metal in the game will give you Iron ingots if lucky you salvage what the rare item from that which would be steel ingots but mainly check out that site above it helps alot in your guides to the guildwars hall of fame :)

I have just one problem with salvaging (and identifiction) is that it does not allow me to do the salvaging or identify the item when i double click on the relevant kit and item. Is it a programme problem or would it be im not using a mouse? any suggestions would be greatly received.

In general, farming for iron ingots directly will not be as profitable as farming for gold in general and buying the ingots. You should be able to pay around 3k per stack from other players (price will vary of course). Droknar's Forge is a good place for buying bulk crafting materials.

at this time the best item that could be farmed quite quickly is feathers cause they could be sold for over 300 gp
