In North Qeynos, at the Temple of Life, in the pool, there are spawns of koalindl fish. Even with skill 400, you don't get anything from them. However, every time you try, you get a skill-up (until you're maxed).
If you're evil, you'll have to sneak in (watch for level 80 epic guards on horseback), but as long as you stay in the water, away from the ramp to the temple area, you should avoid aggro.
SOE has introduced more and more harvesting-related quests, and there are a lot of good Provisioned food options with fish, so for a couple minutes of time, it's worth maxing out your fishing.
Don't forget to use a Woodworker- or Tinkerer-made fishing rod to speed up your cycle time.

I just kept gathering and my skills never went up.
Just says you fail to fish your target. over and over like over 100 times
I even prepared and got my cast time down to 2.5 sec
|

Didn't have my skill ups showing which threw me off when i recently accidently deleted my main chat window .
