EQ2Extreme fix for TSO.

Unzip in your eq2extreme folder and register eq2extremeservice.dll

regsvr32 eq2extremeservice.dll

Let me know if there is any bugs.

there isnt a readme file in that zip file

do we just create a "eq2extreme folder under xunleashed/plugins/everquest2 and dump these files into it?

is there anything else to do if u do this?

is there an initial full eq2extreme program that we must install first? If so, where is it? I've tried to find it but don't see it

i did what i just posted above and went to the Plugins tab under xunleashed and clicked "manually install plugin or service"; i went to the eq2extremerservice.dll and chose it (btw, there was also a exhumehelper.dll in that stuff for eq2extreme service which i did not mess with)

it instructed me to run everquest II

so, i started evequest II through xunleashed and then went to do the same. This time a splash window appears for eq2extreme and just sits there. When i click on the splash window i get an error window for eq2extreme saying "eq2extreme validation failed. Then the splash window reopens and sits. When i click on it this time I get "EQ2.Class_Intialize failed" followed by a window that says "Failed to register plugin"

Please let me know what im doing wrong with step by step instructions on the fix as it seems wyvern's eq2service is not going to be supported anymore

ok..something weird just happened...

i changed from window mode to full screen and the splash screen as well as xunleashed window were in the foreground. So i went back to windowed mode and they reappeared. I clicked on the splash screen and this time a second window for xunleashed appeared with a new login tab. I filled in my info and then a exhume - eq2extreme.vbs file opened up.

what the heck do i do now

i tried closing that window and got validation failure message

i still dont see eq2extreme listed under the plugins in the xunleashed tab

well..

as wyvern doesnt appear to be supporting fixes to eq2service...which is waht ive been using for years now, i am looking for a different format to run dps heal and harvestbot

i believe that you or someone else suggested eq2extreme

i have no clue as to what i need to do in order to swich over from wyvern's eq2service to eq2extreme

in your post about the tso update for eq2extreme service you state to unzip those files into the eq2extreme folder

i do not have an eq2extreme folder since ive never installed it in the past

so i created a folder under my unleashed/plugins/eq2 folder since that is where eq2service was located

1. was this the right thing to do or is there some other program in needed to install that would do all that before hand? If there is another program, please provide a link (which hopefully has an active download and instructions)

2. will eq2extreme run dpsheal and harvestbot? if so, do i need to make change to the basic script (if so, what changes exactly do i have to make?)

3. Do i still use the basic taultunleashed login or does eq2extreme use its own? I ask this because i tried running the eq2extreme.exe and it asked for me to run eq2....which i did. Then when i used the eq2extreme.exe file it opened its own taultunleased login window which required me to enter my user name and password. It did this regardless of whether i was already signed into taultunleashed startup program or if i just manually opened eq2.

4. Once i log into eq2extreme, it opened up a vbs file for eq2extreme which then allowed you to open up a new vbs file (dps or harvestbot). Is that how it normally works? Normally taultunleashed runs in the background and a taskbar appears on the bottom of the screen that allows you to start scripts

I am not sure why wyvern's eq2service is being unsupported at this point. It's not really that often that an update to the eq2service is required for the scripts to continue functioning properly. If I had any clue as to how to fix it, i would invest the time in it. So far, im not happy with mmovipers eq2 bot program. It is not as good as the scripts that i currently use with wyveryn's eq2service. I have tried it and am still messing with it trying to get it to work more efficiently

I know thats a lot of questions..but i have been struggling with this problem for over a month now and have tried all that i could find. I am constantly posting on the sites and PMing you, tault admin and wyvern trying to resolve this problem as are others im sure.

I will try to wrap up something to install eq2extreme with eq2extremeservices. I am taking care of this since the last update, before it was Gheezer. So give me a few days and I will post a new package with installation instruction for it.

For your information XU does not work on Vista so I think thats why the support for XU is switching more to eq2extreme since it work on Vista and XP.
