No.. it's a lot more difficult than WoW.

There is a LOT more group play and reliance on others. Especially pre-endgame.

Yea ffxi is almost 100% grouping. Its very hard to play ffxi solo as compared to wow.

i think ill try it once i quit WoW i just dont like the whole grouping part lol cause sometimes its hard to find groups

With level synch, it's very easy to find groups. Also now with FoV, Campaign and Beastman pets it's very easy to level solo on certian jobs like BLM, RDM, BST, DNC.. etc..
