EverQuest 2 EQ2 - Can't get EQ2Extreme to work...Please help

Whenever I open EQ2Extreme it wont work. This is the message I get when I check the logs:

[07/07/2009 21:24:56] Installed exception handler...
[07/07/2009 21:25:03] ERROR:429: (ActiveX component can't create object) in Sub EQ2.Class_Initialize
[07/07/2009 21:25:05] Shutting down EQ2Extreme
[07/07/2009 21:25:05] Closed EQ2 process
[07/07/2009 21:25:05] Closing log...

Any suggestions???

are you talking about a previously running system or a new install?
if new install:
did you read the installation requirements?
did you install MS scripting engine?
did you install VB Runtime?
did you register the dll?

I did all this stuff and its still saying the same thing but i dont know where to read the installation requirements...where are they?

looks like the FAQ and stuff was screwed up during the site cleanup. I think the most important stuff to check is

make sure you have the files that are listed there which are often missing (something like different dlls etc).
most errors for exhume, xunleashed or extreme have the same reason as the necessary components are basically the same.

I checked all the files and downloaded them but i couldnt install the scripter because i have vista but even with all the other stuff it still wouldnt work =(

why cant you install it? not in admin mode? maybe there is another version then for vista - but i dont have any vista machine, maybe someone with vista can answer that

I tried to get it to work on my buddies comp. He has windows xp but the same message came up.
