Put your Projector in the 1 slot on your toolbar.
Put your mouse over the second farthest "Costumed Festival Celebrant" from you(optional for 1/3 more coins).

I just found out about this sploit a couple of days ago and thought it was common knowledge, so I didn't post it till just now. The Moon Festival is almost over anyway, so they likely won't bother with nerfing it.
Buy a droid that can talk and ready it, then put the control device in your toolbar. I put it in slot 11. In slot 1 I put a special (doesn't matter which one), and in slot 5 I placed the projector. To make this work, have your festival costume on, hide in a house in a remote and unpopulated part of town, zoom your camera to first person view and aim it straight down at your toon's feet. make sure you have no SWG windows open.
The server will recognize your droid as a potential festival participant every time it's called. I can max out my moon coins in literally only 5 minutes of wasted game time.
This is the macro, it's named Auto_Trick:
/ui action toolbarSlot10;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/whisper trick or treat;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot04;
/pause 1;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot10;
/pause 0.75;
/macro Auto_Trick;
The first line calls your droid,
second makes you target your droid,
third is the actual trick or treat attempt, whispered to avoid attracting unwanted attention,
fourth calls your projector in the case of an unsuccessful trick or treat,
fifth uses the projector,
sixth stores the droid,
seventh restarts the macro.
I'm not looking for credit as a friend of mine sent this to me, and I already am a lifelong member with this site. I'm only looking to help out and share what little I have to offer.

did not get it working - droid does not respond to the "trick or treat!" when targeted.
tested with a 3PO model and an LE repair droid model. Both equipped with different personality models.
Which droid / personality module did you use for the sploit? maybe it only works with some of them.

It worked for me with a battle droid. As to the personality, I'm not sure what personality chip it has in it, I had bought it off a random vendor not far from ME. It didn't work for me the first time I tried it because I'd forgotten about making sure I had a costume on, but that may not be the issue for you.
Try double checking to make sure your camera is zoomed all the way to first person view and that you're looking at the ground directly below your character, that way your cursor will be in the middle of the droid when it spawns. When you fire off whatever special is in slot 1 (/ui action toolbarSlot00; ), it should highlight and select the droid as your target, and a second later you'll whisper trick or treat.
Let me know if that helps, and if it doesn't let me know exactly what it is you're doing, I might be able to help you fix it.

I've tried 3 different droids, none of them respond to the trick or treat either in whisper or in chat.
What do you mean by don't have any SWG window open?

My bad, after re-reading the guide, it's kind of confusing. For SWG windows, I was referring to are windows like inventory, map, datapad. The biggest thing is to make sure your cursor will be right on the droid when it spawns.
Something else that might help is to rewrite the macro. Try this:
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/whisper trick or treat;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 1;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 0.75;
/macro Auto_Trick;
Put your droid in slot 3, projector in slot 2 and your special in slot 1. The numbers don't match up between where I said to put the items versus where they are listed in the macro due to how the server reads your tool bar slots. For example, the first tool bar slot is number 1 to us, but number 00 to the server.

cfdfireman749 You should have started you're own threed. I say yaw. I do wonder if this is attempt to tweak one I wrote for last years moon festival.
You don't need to fire a special to make this work. It works with all talking human shaped droids. battle, super battle, Pit, medic.
I normally get almost 700 coins in 15 minutes totally AFK.
I posted this one last year.

Yeah, I thought it was on here already, so I didn't bother with posting it right away, and I didn't want any credit for it, just wanted to help out fellow SWG'ers. You're right, this should have gone in its own thread. Hindsight is always 20/20
I'm not sure why it's working for some players and not others. My guess is that it's either a problem with the macro or targeting the droid.
Something that might help is running an auto-target macro.
Name it Target
/tar wankster;
/pause .1;
/macro target;
Hopefully no one in the area will be named Wankster. Run that macro before running the trick or treat macro. And remember to have a Halloween costume on too.
I'll check back tomorrow. Does anyone know when this Moon Festival is over?

I have the droid targetted each time but it still will not respawned to the trick or treat.
What personality chip is in the droids that are working?

got it working with a battle droid with default personality. At least I can't see any personality chip installed in it (droid was a random buy at the local market )
did not use the macro itself, but the droid responded to the "Trick or treat!" phrase.
Edit:
works best if you name the droid and add a /tar (droidname) in the afk macro.

I'll try that. I think all the droids I was trying had some chip in them.
