Lvl 60 fisher needs help on where to go next : FFXI General Discussions

Hello i am a lvl 60 fisher that needs some advise on where a good place to get skill ups is. i fished bluetails all the way to 55 but skill ups have slowed down since then. i got to 60 fishing bastore breams. i was just wondering if there is a fish i can target that can get me better skill ups than .7 in a 10 hr period? if so what rod, and bait and or lure should i use?

hmm, i'm in the same boat as you. i'm currently at level 58 fishing and its going awfully slow.

how did you skill up on bastore breams? i thought their caps are 71/86, meaning you can't gain skill from them unless you've got a skill 71 in fishing and skill gain stops at skill level 86? please correct me if i'm wrong.

currently i'm fishing up bladefish and its sooo slow!

i'm a level 61 paladin, so if anyone has suggestions on where i might go. i would appreciate it as well!

For a 61 pld I'd say fish in SSG, AWESOME gil and skillups at the same time.

And Breams can be skilled on before 71, it's just extra slow.

yeah u can skill up ob breams. i was catching a few of them, and skilling up on them at lvl 40. but it is uber slow...
