Ya i have a problem lvling it sucks @ 55 >_< lol Nah seriously no problems just having fun on the boat...

Actually here is a nice place to post it, I just left my fish bot up for 30mins
(i check it every 30mins or it might have been 45mins-1hour i left it) i came back looked at my log window.
112 casts 110 no bites......i read through the chat window and almost everycast i gaveup and reeled in. I was in north sandy with insect paste on the moat/gold carp only script

Yea asl is adding some code so that after XX no bites it will log out your char.



I dont like the new "tired fisherman" code that ffxi has put in either, ugh.

Yeah I was using a version of the moat/gold carp only script edited to catch gigant squid. The script was working flawlessly before, but today I ran the script, checked it after and hour and got 62 no catches. It seems the fishbot was for some reason aborting every fish even the squid. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the new patch that just came out (First time fishing since then), but the script was definately working before and I havn't changed anything. ><


I looked into my XUFish logfile and found this:

This keeps on repeating until I terminated the code. I don't understand what to make about XUFish being forced to ignore the catch, if someone could give me some helpfull insight it would be very much appreciated. Thanks

umm...well ive been using the bot lately, and its catching what i specify (moat carp) for an hr, then I have to zone, and after about 14 stacks of carp (approx 3hr), no more fishies!

I hate that SE did that, along with reducing vendor prices, kinda makes fishing a !@#$%^&* craft, especially for non-botters. I mean we can just let the bot catch us 14stacks, and then log onto another character, catch another 14, and do this for as many char as we want, but didnt SE think that the casual fisherman who uses his main would be effected by this? they should have known that if you can reset the day by using a diff character...botters will do that...so might as well just keep it the way it was, and make life easier for non-botting and botting fisherman alike!

i think SE has changed 200 "obtained" to 200 bites, that is , even if u release your line for undesired fish, it still counts towards your 200 of the day. i've tried it for 3 days and it seemed that way. please justify it if i'm wrong.

It now depends on how difficult a fish is, higher stamina fish take more from the 200 limit. Aka moat carp is like 200, bream is like 90 or some such.

I've noticed this too. After so many catches you just can't hook any fish. Not sure of the exact number of fish you can catch before it cuts you off but it seems like there's about a 12 hour waiting period before you can begin to fish again and actually hook anything. I've tried zoning, logging etc... nothing will reset the counter. Seems like an anti-bot issue to deter the cash coming out of npcs for fish sales or carps toward lushangs. Prior to the most recent patch it seemed like you zone or play around with logging in and out and get around it but now it looks like you can't. I don't know if there's a solution for this such as zoning or logging precursor to hitting the maximum number of catches. Any suggestions?

This wasnt a problem like it was working fine that it just stoped i just set up the bot while i was painting my basement and when i cam upstairs it wasnt working at all(i havent fished with it in a week or 2) could i t ahv ebeen the patch that changed fish weights?

i did the macros and its not working.

thats what i got from the other page.. and ofcourse i filled in what i use.. it doesnt work.. it starts it then says like equipment cannot be changed.. then it types the letter i.. its just weird pls help me.

I've had multiple fishbots for well over a year now, but unfortunately I lost my CD keys for both of them. I have one character on each account, but with the new changes is now a complete and total waste. Having your fisher only go for about 4 hours out of each day REALLY kills the income. If I had my CD keys I'd make multiple characters on the account and just switch the character out for an unfatigued one. Three fishers on one account would be better than what fishing used to be even before any of the nerfs.

It would take me three months, after buying another account, to get three fishers on it up and running all with Lu shangs. Granted it would net me a cool 300k+/day, I really don't think it's worth the effort. To those of you that already have multiple fishers on one account congradulations. I easily make 1mil/day parttime now anyways and sometimes 2mil on a day off, so even three fishers wouldnt be worth the trouble anymore. I'm done with fishing, it's gotten my craft to where it is now and made me rich, my Lu's rods are being sold.
