Gamepad not working : General & Trouble Shooting

I am having issues getting my game pad working. It's a logitech Rumble Pad 2. Funny thing is I have a friend with the same game pad and they have no problems what so ever. I tried uninstalling / reinstalling Xunleashed with no sucess. The game pad works fine in FFXI alone.
Can someone please help. I have already disabled it for POL which is fine but I would really love my Game pad back in the game.

Thank you

I'm having the same issue. No response from the admin so far about it.

It started happening on the last X patch.

Thanks for the log, but you didnt tell me exactly what was wrong.

I understand you are having problems, but please tyr to be more specific.

Does it work at all, does it cause a crash, does it do something strange?

I appologize if i was not clear.
The problem is the gamepad does not work at all.
If I enable the gamepad for POL it works but crashes when I start the game. If I enable the gamepad for only FFXI the gamepad does not work.

The setup I have used since the first wave of updates from Square Enix was to disable the gamepad for the Playonline Viewer. However this does not work anymore.

I am using a Logitech Rumble Pad 2 Gamepad.

Gamepad is enabled, works in the pol viewer.

As soon as I select play, go into FFXI, game pad stops working. Game functions properly, as does keyboard/mouse/Xunleashed. Just not the gamepad.

Any other info I can provide that wasn't in the other thread?

As a note the problem started with v3.99 RC4
It appears whatever was done to fix some gamepads broke others.

If this was a free application I would be ok with tons of work arounds and slow reponse to program problems how ever I paid for this application. Doing so seems to deam a higher level of service.

So buying another gamepad and swapping them between playing with and without Xunleashed isnt really an acceptable solution for me. Im not going to spend money to fix something I spent money for that is broken that just seems silly now.

Sorry if i am being harsh but it seems that work arounds are a common thing with Xunleashed and Im kind of sick that we the community are finding ways to get around the fact that what we all paid good money for a product that seems to have more problems then working.

These guys are a scam...DON'T BUY!!!!

Before buying the software on 8/17/05, on seller's website there was stated a possible refund within 15 days if not happy. I was not happy and sent 3 emails to the seller, 1 per each day starting 8/18/05, asking for a refund....no response. I then sent a private message and waited 2 days...no response...I then posted my refund inquiry over several posts, read by potential buyers, then I got a response stating no refund. I then went back to the area on the website where the refund info was...it was no longer there.

Here was the link to the refund:

to keep from getting the error you need to turn off the gamepad in pol and it will work in FFXI. provided your gamepad does not load special software. if it is just plug and play and no software running then it will work just fine.

What he needs to do is make it more compatible to Archbell viewer. they are free and keep everything up to date. they are built for FFXI thier for are concerned about keeping updates coming that have to do with that game. I am not sure if the ppl who wrote this even play ffxi they may have made the patch to go with another game and could care less about ffxi.
