LOTRO Cheats - Create Loc button lock/unlock w/out a vendor : LOTRO - Exploits

Make sure quickslots are unlocked from the options menu under quickslots

temporarily move what ever is slotted in the first quickslot space, bottom row all the way left, to another location

/alias ;myloc /tell <yourname> ;loc 

copy and paste the above in the chat box removing the yourname and the greater than and less than symbols, and replacing that with the name of your character

confirmation of creating an alias appears in chat box display when done properly

/alias shortcut ;myloc 1 

copy and paste in the chat box, a black box should appear in your first quickslot space

move the loc button to where you want it and move back the skill you had temporarily moved

return to options and lock the quickslots

and then pressing the new loc button sends yourself a tell with your location without spamming any chat channels

open inventory

Alt-click the item, Ctrl-T to toggle the lock.

An explaination of the an in-game command. I'd call it a guide. No locking\unlocking of the Shortcut bar is needed for this.

A 1 line command for this would be: /shortcut 1 /tell <name> My LOC is: ;loc

*Replace <name> with your character name.


1. Move the skill that is in Slot 1 to another slot.
2. Copy the command above into the game chat box.
3. Once the command has appeared in Shortcut box 1, move it to another key.
4. Move skill back to slot 1.

I was just putting two different tips albeit small ones in one post the lock unlock is not for the alias

had this in my notes otherwise with the lotro forums purged you cannot find this or the program for consignment orders in another thread

ahh, right. now i understand. Wasn't too sure what that bit at the bottom was referring too, but it's the second tip on the same thread.

Never knew about locking\unlocking items in your bag without the NPC. Not that it matters because it doesn't make any difference unless you're at a NPC selling items anyhow.

My memory is kinda bad but I think it came up in group trying to trade a locked item way out in the field

plus someone who is a "klutz" always selling wrong stuff hitting sell all was told to lock his hard won epic item think it was slime right then and this helped him:)
