*-The following information found in this guide is mostly based on my
pRO (Philippines) version of Ragnarok Online and reading other FAQs/guides
on gamefaqs and some of my theories & observations.
This guide is accurate in stats build but not in the skill builds
due to the changes that may occur in the not so near future.
My goal is to provide you some ideas on skill builds and stats build
for the diffrent 2-2 jobs.

This maybe the last update. I'll be working on a new guide
for non-melee type jobs. I'm very sorry that I can't make
a guide for those who want to be a Alchemist.
Because the skill list I got isn't complete and I can't just guess
the skill effects. but I have a hunch that the stats build for
Alchemist is very similar to that of a Forge smith.

Ver. 2.5- November 20, 2003 (11.20.03)
Thanks Cuek! You help me make my guide much more better!!!
Thanks for your suggestions!!!
In this version, updated all the stats build thanks to the
iRO calculator! All stats build here in this guide
will be finished between Lv.89-Lv.99. It is proven!

Ver. 2.6- November 24, 2003 (11.24.03)

and I'll add a FAQS section....

Ver. 2.7- November 29, 2003 (11.29.03)
Added the first FAQs submitted to me...
(Deleted the first batch.. Sorry!)

Ver. 2.8- December 05, 2003 (12.05.03)
Almost Christmas feels like there's a Santa Hat making on Dec. 25!
This Version, I added Gunardi's Buil for Monk.
Thanks a lot! because of you there is now another type of
skill build for the Monk Class

Ver. 2.9- December 06, 2003 (12.06.03)
What a boring day this is... I was not able to play RO!
But luckily I found some info about the 2-2 Melee Job
How to be and their job bonuses!
Thanks to Ragnafilia!

Minor update. Corrected Typos.

Added 2 new Build submission on the Monk Class by
Natahanael Wong (wongboy09@hotmail.com)
Glenn Arienza (gauvahn@yahoo.com).
Well.. I think most of you guys really like the monk
class. Even me, myself and I like the class so much but
due to those hard time leveling I lost my hope to build my own monk.
I find being an Acolyte hard. ='(. So I am now aiming to be
a Crusader, a Lancing Crusader.

Added another build by Gunardi

Ver. 3.5- January 22, 2004 (01.22.04)

* E-Mail/Contacts Policy -
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Why'd I suddenly summon a E-Mail/Contacts Policy section? Simply to
categorize every mail that I've been receiving from those that are possibly
either a Virus or something bad. I would suggest you follow the following
things below so as to quickly get a reply off the day or two after you
mailed me. Yes! I'm that quick on replying mails as I don't want my Inbox
to be so filled and to make my browser go faster when checking things out.
Anyway here are the list of Do's and Don'ts doing something that is on
either the Do's/Don'ts list will seriously affect the odds of you getting
a reply so I suggest you follow them as simple rules are applied.

*- E-Mails -*

Do’s and Don’ts
---------------
1. Only send me questions that can't be found on my guide. I will be more
happy to help you in this case.

2. Try to be specific in defining something or when stating what had
happened.
So I won't be e-mailing you back for some questions that'll simply consume
our precious time.

3. I won't be accepting or be opening any mails that has attachments.

4. Check the latest version of the guide before sending in any questions,
chances are that your question might be answered in the newest version of
the guide.

5. If I happen to not reply after three or so days than e-mail me again
nicely and I'll reply ASAP.

6. You must label your mail with the game title whether a submission or a
question (E.I. FFX-2 <insert any topic for your contribution> or just FFX-2
for questions or inquiries).

7. Don't be persistent, don't e-mail me the very same question that I've
already answered.

8. Don't send me nonsense e-mails like "How much is..." "Can you buy me
this?"

9. Be nice! Don't use bad words in your mail.

10. No Chain Mails!
Doing anything that isn't allowed will automatically make your address be
blocked from any future mail you might possibly send.

4.1/\[Introduction to the stats system]/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

[Stat Information]===========================================================

You can view your stat window my clicking on the button, or pressing ALT+A.
The number next to the stat is your current amount,
and the number to the right of the arrow is how many status points
needed to raise it by 1.

The stats are the following...

STR (Strength)
This stat determines how hard you hit.
Each point will give you 1 extra ATK.
The bonuses are as follows:

STR Min/Max Damage
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
10 +1
20 +4
30 +5
40 +8
50 +10
60 +12
70 +13
80 +15
90 +17
100 +19

AGI (Agility)
This stat increases how often you will dodge an enemy attack, by increasing
Flee by 1. It will also increase your attack speed.
There are no bonuses for this stat.

VIT (Vitality)
Each point in this stat increases your Defense by 1, which means you take 1
point less damage from every attack. It will also increase your maximum HP,
and your HP recovery speed. There are no bonuses for this stat.

INT (Intelligence)
This stat increases your Magic Attack, which is how powerful your spells are.
Each point in this stat also increases your Magic Defense by 1, but since no
enemies use magic yet, that is useless. It also increases your SP recovery
time, and maximum SP. Every 5 points in INT, you receive a maximum damage
boost, and for every 7 points, you receive a minimum damage boost. So you
would receive a max boost at values like 5, 10, and 15, and a min boost at
values like 7, 14, and 21. Hopefully in the future I'll have the exact values.

DEX (Dexterity)
Each point in this stat will increase your hit by 1, which is how often you
do not miss an enemy. For Archers, this stat determines their damage, like STR
for a melee fighter. For Mages, it determines your casting rate. It will also
increase minimum damage. The bonuses are as follows:

DEX Min/Max Damage
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
20 +3
30 +4
40 +5
50 +6
60 +8
70 +10
80 +12
90 +13
100 +14

LUK (Luck)
LUK has become a bit more useful now. In Beta 1, 100 LUK would give you a 10%
chance to critical, however, now you get 3 criticals per 10 LUK - hence, a 30%
chance to critical. It's really only good for an Assassin or somebody with a
lot of Soldier Skeleton/Caramel Cards to really get high percentages.

All the following stats are those you cannot increase directly.

ATK (Attack)
This is your physical attack with a weapon. The first number is the attack of
your weapon, plus your STR. The second number is how much ATK your upgraded
weapon adds, which ignores DEF.

MATK (Magic Attack)
This is the attack of your magic. This will only be useful to Acolytes and
Mages. The 2 numbers are the range of your Magic Damage. This is effected
by INT and Wands, as they increase the attack by 15%. This stat is
counteracted by MDEF.

Hit
This number is a representation of how often you hit an enemy. It increases 1
point every level, and each point in DEX increases it by 1 point as well. This
is counteracted by Flee.

Critical
This number increases by 1 for every 3 LUK you have. Think of this number
as the percentage of a chance of a critical hit or Lucky dodge.

DEF (Defense)
This is your physical defense against enemies. The damage you take is the
enemies ATK minus your total defense. There are a few things to consider
though - armor works on percentages, so 10 armor will reduce all attacks in the
game by 10%. VIT works on points, so 10 VIT will reduce all damage done to you
by 10. Confused? Well, it doesn't matter, DEF is a good thing to have.

MDEF (Magic Defense)
This is your defense against magical attacks.
magical defense of all your armor, while the second is your INT.

Flee
This number is a representation of how often you dodge an enemy. It increases 1
point every level, and each point in AGI increases it by 1 point as well. Your
flee drops greatly between enemies as they attack you, as it is split amongst
them. This is counteracted by Hit.

ASPD (Attack Speed)
This is your attack speed, which has finally been enabled. 200 is the fastest
attack speed, 100 the slowest.

4.2/\[SWORDSMAN]/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Introduction:

Swordies are the vanguard of parties and guilds.
They can take the punishing blows of every attack.
Because of their massive VITALITY which raises their defense
(VIT + sum of armor defense) and I believe there is such thing
in Ragnarok as RDM or reduce damage which can be seen
in low damages inflicted on knights/swordies.

If you want more In-Depth FAQS/Guides about Swordies you better check
Psycho Battousai's Swordsman/Knight Guide FAQ and
JBKMDX's The Real Swordsman/Knight FAQ about Swordies and Knights.
My Swordie Guide here is just a quick look at swordie skills and stats.

4.2.1=-[STATS & SKILL BUILD UP]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NOTE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I DO NOT REQUIRE/RECOMMEND YOU TO FOLLOW THE STATS DISTRIBUTION.
EVEN FOR ME, I FIND FOLLOWING THOSE STATS DISTRIBUTION VERY HARD
DUE TO THE DIFFRENT FIGHTING STYLES OF EACH AND EVERY INDIVIDUAL.
I HAVE PROVIDED THIS PART AS AN OPTION. YOU CAN DISTRIBUTE THE STATS
IN ANY WAY YOU WANT. JUST BE SURE THAT END RESULT WILL BE THE SAME WITH
THE BUILD YOU DESIRE.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[The Starting stats]=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Like other swordies you can start with this build:
STR 9
AGI 9
VIT 5
INT 1
DEX 5
Luck 1

[STATS BUILD-UP]=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

If your aiming to be a "Just" Crusader, you can follow all the other
Swordsman/Knight Stats-build up. The other type of Crusader is what
I call the "Paladin", the paladins are known with their Holy powers
unlike the Knights and the "Just" Crusader who rely only on
brute strength.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NOTE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may also want to see Mad Monarch Gyl's Guide.
I founded that you can use his Battle Acolyte Stats build-up
for your Crusader. I will not display it here. Just please look at
his wonderful guide for Battle Acolytes, almost all of the build is
applicable to your Crusader.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Krusada Build 1]----------------------------------------------------------
This build is almost exactly the same as the Knight's.
I recommend this build same as the other Swordie-Knight Stats Build
if you aim to be a Offensive Crusader or a Knight like Crusader.
This is a Hybrid of Vitality-Agility.

Stats Distribution:
STR to 10
DEX to 15
AGI to 18
VIT to 50
STR to 30
DEX to 30
VIT to 70
STR to 50
VIT to 93

[Final Stats]
(Bonus based on Lv50 Job Crusader)

AGI 18 +2
VIT 93 +7
INT 1 +5
DEX 47 +3
LUK 1 +5

[Str/Agi Crusader]---------------------------------------------------------
This stat build is only for "Just" Crusaders and not recommended
for those who want to be a Paladin Crusader and support Crusaders.

Stats Distribution:
10 DEX
10 STR
10 VIT
30 STR
20 DEX

AGI: 78 +2
VIT: 33 +7
INT: 1 +5
DEX: 47 +3
LUK: 1 +5

[Vitality/Strength Crusader]-----------------------------------------------

Weggy's Comment ^_^
This Swordsman is designed mostly to fight in aggressive areas.
They have very high HP, and can regenerate it quick.
However, they are very boring, as you'll hack, slash, rest, rinse,
repeat, for the rest of your RO career.
The preferred build if you like dungeons.

Stats Distribution:
10 STR
15 VIT
10 DEX
30 VIT
20 DEX
20 STR
60 VIT
30 STR
70 VIT
30 DEX
40 STR
80 VIT
50 STR
90 VIT

93 VIT

[Final Stats]
(Bonus based on Lv50 Job Crusader)
STR: 93 +7
AGI: 1 +2
VIT: 93 +7
INT: 1 +5
DEX: 47 +3
LUK: 1 +5

[Paladin Build]------------------------------------------------------------
This is the BIG difference between the Knight and the Crusader
because they now need a little INT in their stats.
Dexterity is now a standard necessity of
a swordsman especially in the PVP mode (they can’t hit an Assassin).

Stats Distribution:
STR to 10
VIT to 10
DEX to 10
INT to 20
VIT to 20
INT to 30
STR to 30
DEX to 42

VIT: 93 +7
INT: 30 +5
DEX: 42 +3
LUK: 1 +5

[Paladin Build 2]----------------------------------------------------------

A Agility Crusader build, same as the Agility build of the Knight's
But with a little twist of Dexterity and Intelligence.

Stats Distribution:
STR to 10
AGI to 10
DEX to 10
INT to 20
AGI to 30
INT to 30
STR to 30
AGI to 40

[Krusada Build 2 Final Stats]
(Bonus based on Lv50 Job Crusader)
STR: 93 +7
AGI: 78 +2
VIT: 1 +7
INT: 30 +5
DEX: 42 +3
LUK: 1 +5

[Skill Build]=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

This Swordie Build up area is divided in to 2 groups, namely
Job change at Lv40 and Job change at Lv50.
But if you decided to turn into a Crusader I strongly recommend
that you follow the Job level change at Lv50.

Since Crusaders don't need much of thr swordie skills because their skills
are almost independent from the swordie skill meaning they don't need some
of thr skills as a pre-requisite like the Knight's, in fact they only need
Lv1 Endure for their Peco Riding Skill. So Swordie Skills only serve as
Support or Back-up skills for Crusaders. But if you follow my
Paladin Skill build I strongly recommend that you follow the
Lv50 job change especially the 1H swordie.
(NOTE: 1H swordie build is the most recommended build for a Crusader wanna be.)

Job level change at Lv40:==================================================

[1 Handed Sword Swordsman] ------------------------------------------------

HP Recovery Lv.10
Bash Lv.10
1H Sword Mastery Lv.10
Magnum Break Lv.3
Provoke Lv.5
Endure Lv.1

Comment:
This one is the build for those who cannot wait. This build
has all the the basics of a 1H swordie to Knight/Crusader.

Job level change at Lv.50:=================================================

Same as the Job Change at Lv.50 bit you have the opportunity to
max certain skills. This is recommended to those who will be
starting a Pre 2-2 job now.

[1 Handed Sword Swordsman] ------------------------------------------------

HP Recovery Lv.10
Bash Lv.10
1H Sword Mastery Lv.10
Magnum Break Lv.10
Provoke Lv.5
Endure Lv.1

And then get another 4 skills points and put it into Provoke or Endure.

4.2.1.1=-[Updated Swordsman Skills]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Comment:

Pretty much worthless. Crusaders relies on shield much more.
So don't bother on getting this.. But if you insist...

[Attack Weak Point]=======================================================

1 Level 8 Bash: Stun rate 15% -
Level 9 Bash: Stun rate 20%
Level 10 Bash: Stun rate 25%

Comment:
This skill makes Bash even more deadlier and more useful.
A very important skill, A must have for swordies.

stay on you until your HP is above 26%

Comment:
This one's like a hyper mode for swordies!
But this one has a big draw back, because it lowens your defense.

[Bash]====================================================================
Strong physical attack

[LV] [Skill Level Effect] [SP]
1 130% Damage 8
2 160% Damage 8
3 190% Damage 8

7 310% Damage 15
8 340% Damage 15
9 370% Damage 15
10 400% Damage 15

Comment:
Due to the other support skills that will aid Bash
such as Hit weak point, Death blow and etc. I can say that now
Bash is now a very very important skill.
Imagine One skill multiple abilities.

[Magnum Break]============================================================
Does damage to all monsters that are around you

Requires: Level 5 Bash

[LV] [Skill Level Effect] [HP-SP]
1 120% Damage 20 15
2 125% Damage 20 15
3 130% Damage 19 15
4 135% Damage 19 15

8 155% Damage 17 15
9 160% Damage 16 15
10 165% Damage 16 15

Comment:
very useful in mobs but one draw back is that you need a little
amount of your life together with a little SP in order to use
this skill. Be wary of using this skill, because this can also
lead to monsters mobbing on you, not recommended in PVP mode.

[Provoke]=================================================================
Causes an enemy to become aggressive and raises their attack,
but lowers their defense
Ineffective against Undead

[LV] [Skill Level Effect] [SP]
1 Enemy ATK power +2% DEF power -6% 4
2 Enemy ATK power +4% DEF power -12% 5
3 Enemy ATK power +6% DEF power -18% 6
4 Enemy ATK power +8% DEF power -24% 7
5 Enemy ATK power +10% DEF power -30% 8
6 Enemy ATK power +12% DEF power -36% 9
7 Enemy ATK power +14% DEF power -42% 10
8 Enemy ATK power +16% DEF power -48% 11
9 Enemy ATK power +18% DEF power -54% 12
10 Enemy ATK power +20% DEF power -60% 13

Comment:
This skill is very helpful not only to Swordie class but to all
types because this can also be used as a tanking medium.
helps to eliminate opponents much quicker because of it reduces
opponent's Def but making them more powerful, be very careful in using this.

[Endure]===================================================================
Removes knock back effect when hit

Comment:
This skill prevents flinching. Your primary weapon against
Archer/Hunters. Their arrows makes any character flinch but
with Endure you'll never be flinched again!

Requires: Level 5 Provoke

4.2.2=-[Crusader Introduction:]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Crusaders are much like Acolytes, but the difference is that
they are more battle bred because of the various battle skills that they
have, like Spear Quicken and Shield Boomerang
(Much like two hand Quicken and Spear Boomerang.).

According to my observation of their skills,
they are the most vital part of a guild especially in guild wars.
Imagine… a Crusader with a skill of Devotion/Sacrifice which absorbs all
the damages done to your party/guild (must be on the same map) and
surrounded by priest and has a Osiris card! Even if he dies his HP
will be fully recovered and his guild mates are like gods!
They can’t die! As if you’re like fighting with a god who is immortal…
unless the crusader got warp away or silenced.
Only then and ONLY then you can defeat his guild mates if not
defeat them, inflict damage on them.

[HOW TO BE A CRUSADER]-------------------------------------------------------

There are 4 parts to this job quest.

First, talk to Leader of Crusaders in Prontera Castle,
located by going north two times, and then go west 2 times inside castle.

<First Test - Collect Random Items>

You need to collect the following items, and bring it back.
You may get a different set of items which you must collect. T
here are so far, 2 different sets and any one of them can be assigned.

[First set]
10 Nail of Deceased (Zombie)
10 Danggie (Munak)
10 Rotten Scale (Megalodon)
10 Old Prisoner's Clothing (Zombie Prisoner)

[Second set]
10 Skel Bone (Skeleton Archer / Soldier / Skeleton / Whatnots)
10 Nail of Orc (Orc Zombie)
10 Handcuff (Skel Prisoner)
10 Danggie (Munak)

<Second Test - Patience Test>

When you complete 1st test, the Leader of Crusader will order you to go
to the Prontera Prison. It is located at utmost bottom of the castle,
and go to the right. You will find a NPC named 'Man in Pain'.

Make sure you are wearing a Rosary, and click on him to take the test.

You must go through this test by using Endure and Red Potions
and not hitting the monsters.

<Third Test - Knowledge Test>

You can take this test by going to Prontera Grand Cathedral,
and talk to the Cathedral Knight.

This is a multiple-choice test, and if you know well about
Crusader skills and features of Undead-type monsters, it should be easy.

You will pass the test if you receive over 90 points in the test.
If you fail the test, you can retake it and you will pass if your points are over 80.

<Last Test - Purification>

First, prepare a Holy Water (ask an Acolyte or Priest to make one for you),
and talk to Guardian Knight NPC in Prontera Castle.
You will be automatically warped a map where you must destroy every monster
in there under 5 minutes.

After successfully completing all tests, talk to Leader of Crusader to become a Crusader!

Shield Charge Lv.3
Shield Boomerang Lv.5
Defender Lv.5
Peco Riding Lv.1
Cavalry Mastery Lv.5

you get all the the Quest skills for Swordsman if you want to follow this
build.

Introduction:

Thief characters are best known for their increadible evasion rate.
They're so hard to hit especially if you have a low DEX.
Their also made offensively. Their main purpose is to
inflict fast damage to their opponent while not being hit.
One big flaw of the most build-up for Thief are their ultra low VIT,
with one mighty blow (if it hit them) you'll see how much damage
you'll inflict to them especially if you are a swordsman.
For me Thieves are designed to neutralize those (mostly arrogant)
swordsmen. So stop pondering there when you see a knight/swordie
being punished by a thief/assassin in the PVP arena, But be afraid
if you see a swordie/knight punishing a thief/assassin!
Because that will only mean one thing... he's got a perfect build!

If you want more In-Depth FAQS/Guides about Thief you better check
the other Thief-Assassin guides because my guide is only a brief look
about thief’s.

I DO NOT REQUIRE/RECOMMEND YOU TO FOLLOW THE STATS DISTRIBUTION.

4.3.1.2=-[Leveling Guide]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Leveling as a Thief:

10-20 Culvert, Rockerfield, Desert

20-30 Culvert2, Mandragora Forest

40-50 Ant Hell, Orcs, Anacondaqs, Goblins

50-60 Big foots, Sohee, Eggrya, Orc Dungeon

4.3.2=-[Rogue Introduction]-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Rogues, somebody mischievous, acting independently and using
unorthodox methods that often cause trouble.
Yaw! that really describes a Rogue! Rogues are all about
Inflicting massive damages on his/her enemy. It's a combination
of a Hunter and a Knight with a twist of a little thief skills.
They can use traps and inflict damages more than a knight can
and stealing of a thief.
What I love about them is their Backstab skill and Plagiarism.
Why? because with a skid trap
(enemy will face where the trap is facing) you can easily
inflict up to 700% of your damage with the skill.
Plagiarism in the other hand can copy the opponent's last used skill.
They are the 3rd wave attack of our future guild.

[HOW TO BE A ROGUE]---------------------------------------------------

Go to Faros Lighthouse Island (Located at 196,117). You can go there by Comodo warp.
Talk to the NPC there, and proceed to talk to the old man nearby to take tests.

First, you will have to collect some items and bring it back.

When you bring it back, you are asked to distribute those items to
Hollgrenn Na, Aragarm, or Junior. These guys are located (NOT in refine buildings!)
in a east field from the Lighthouse. Go there, and solve the secret code.

When you return, you will take a final test, a test to see if you
can escape a dungeon. When you pass this, you can finally become a Rogue.
