Newcomer's Guide to Making Money in RO : RO Submissions

Welcome to Ragnarok Online. This is a short and simple guide to starting from nothing and eventually making over 100,000Zeny in your first hour of playing!

First, start a new character with the slider pushed towards DEX & AGI (third is up to you)


----PART 1--------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Talk to the Lady in the first screen twice for a free level.
2.Make sure to go through training, NOT direct access to ragnarok in next screens.
3.Talk to the knight for free lvl and job lvl.
4. Talk to Kafra about saving and storage for free lvl and job lvl.
5.Talk to monk to right of knight for free lvl.
6.Talk to Bsmith to right of knight for free lvl and job lvl
7.Talk to Kafra again and Teleport to Prontera, she will give you 5 free storage and 5 Free teleport passes, these are crucial.

----PART 2--------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Save at the western gate of kafra prontera (walk to middle fountain, then walk all the way left, you should see the npc) and SAVE.

2.Now to make a bit of money, make sure it isn't laggy when you are playing as you need good coordination. Equip all your novice gear and have your novice potions and flywings (that you got for free in training) Hotkeyed.

3.Use your first free teleport pass to go to Orc Dungeon. Once you get there, be careful as there are aggressive enemy orcs around. Walk a little up-left and you'll see the entrance to a cave. Go in, you
ll see another small room, go in again and be ready to fly wing.

4.You are in orc cave where the enemies are pretty slow but like all zombies gather numbers fast. Your main objective is to get to lvl 2 of the cave, you'll see the location on your minimap. Dodge the zombies as you cant kill them yet. Kill the bats if no other enemies are around and use potions to heal. Fly wing if you see skeletons because they are too fast and will kill you in one hit.

5.Once you get to lvl 2 you will see TONS and TONS of loot on the ground.
This place is used by AFKchemist to lvl. Which basically means the leave their computer on and AFK to let their minions kill enemies and they don't bother to get the drops.

6.GRAB any and everything you can and FLYWING when you see Skeletons or Red Bats as they are the only aggressive things on the map.
7.PRIORITIES of things you want to grab are:

1.Rough Oredicon - which look like small greyish stones
- worth 4,000z to 7,000z (5 of them make one full oredicon worth 30,000z-35,000z) and are easy to sell. (upgrade shop npc combines them)
2.Steel - Blue and orange slabs - worth 10,000z-15,000z - Moderately hard to sell
3.Wind of Ventures - Orange Globes - worth 5,000z - Hard to sell
4.Zenorc Fangs - roughly 180z - SELL TO NPC
5.Mementos - roughly 100z - SELL TO NPC
6.Red Bat Wings - roughly 80z - SELL TO NPC

7. Once you die, you should be teleported back to your save point. Walk a little down-right and you will see a yellow npc next to the road. Sell all NPC loot to her and you should make a fair amount of change from your first go.

8.Now its time to lvl a little, go to the middle of prontera to the fountain and the top left house is the weapon shop. Buy the best AXE you can equip. But make sure you have at least 1,000z left over.

9. Walk to the top Left corner of the prontera map, you should see a building with two guards outside. Walk in and talk to the first NPC behind the desk and ask to volunteer for culvert.

10.This is the best place to lvl to get to the next step. If you have some fly wings, try to wing to lvl two or you can just walk there. Once in lvl two there are TONs and TONS of enemies to kill and lvl fast.

11. AVOID killing the little thief bugs as they will gang up on you if there are more around. Kill the Spores and Tarous and Bats until you are lvl
12 and job lvl 10.

12. Go back to prontera using a butterfly wing (which you get from training free) and use one of your passes to go to Alberta.

13.In the bottom left of Alberta is the merchants guild. Go in and talk to the guy behind the desk and tell him you want to become a merchant. He will ask for 1,000z and give you a LOCATION and a CONFIRMATION number which you MUST remember (write down somewhere). Go to the next room down-right and talk to the NPC behind the small desk.

14.He will ask for the location and confirmation number and then give you a package to deliver.

15. Butterfly wing back to prontera, the location in prontera is the bottom-right in between the entrance and utmost corner (look for a sand patch with training dummies). If you got morroc, use one of your passes and go to the top right of the map, the building is around that area.

16.Use another pass to go back to alberta, talk to the NPC that gave you the package first, then the main guy in the main room and voila, you are a merchant!

----PART 3--------------------------------------------------------------------

1.Now that you are a merchant, you can get a skill called OVERCHARGE, which you guessed it makes the Items you NPC sell for more.

2.Go back to Volunteer culverts and lvl your Job until you run out of potions and get Overchange to the highest you can. (press alt+s)
Enlarge Weight limit to lvl 3, then Discount to lvl 3, then you can put points into Overcharge.

3.Now that you are higher lvl, you have more hp and have an easier time getting loots from orc cave!

4.Keep going back to Orc Cave 2, getting loots to fund your potions/flywings/butterflywings (tool shop is accross from weapon shop) then lvl overcharge to the max.

5.Go back to orc cave, rinse and repeat as there is an endless supply of loot there. Patience and skill are rewarded with an endless supply of income.
