is a rotten tip, 1 - 10 is incredibly easy the best advice for any player starting a new character completely new to the game is...
either human or akkan you are in the starting area.
within that starting area at the moment you will see two monsters called crazy orcs if you cannot see them straight away wait and they will come back into position
the primary tip at this point because although in essense this is a simple game monster agro will be the first thing you will learn.
press k will bring up your skills tab, the skill you have at level one can be dragged onto your skill bar (if this is not visible when you have pressed k there will be a button call slots press to activate quick slot bar.
right clicking will use that skill you will need to get the monsters to chase you. when the monster are chasing you they will put on buffs (bonuses) to your chars these buffs will allow you to hit monsters way above your level and will last a reasonable amount of time
when you have the buffs go out a town exit and start hitting monsters liek there is no tomorrow.
if you are playign human go and find giant pincers these will rush you to level ten faster than you can shake a stick at
and akkan the south gate to the monsters out there will do the same
humans to level upwards here to level 20, after level 10 you can upgrade your class.
get some teleport scrolls to watcher/first rest/tesidio (watcher is my prefered leveling spot for new chars) and get some to aldia port (you dont really need these but you will) the idea here is you can solo with these buffs form the crazy orcs as high as the 1st map will allow
get the buff then imediately teleport to the area like watcher where the higher level monsters are (from watcher head east L for map). when the buffs run out teleport back to aldia port ro /kill if your on a budget :p
re buff adn head back out, this method means you dont need a party, you have buffs similiar to that of a high level character and as a melee class will level you very fast the teleport scrolls from the general items merchant just means you make better use of your buffs for more exp!
click on the monsters tab on your map to give you an idea of where to head for monsters go orange red for full exp, you can do it you are buffed to the max!
and try to use the balckmarket for weapons as little as possible it will eat your money tip to sellign things to npc the more its worth to the npc is the higher its durability for example a suit of armour with 10/100 is worth far less than a suit of armour that is 90/100 even if one is better as armour
this is a useful bit of knowledge because no one will pay well for noob armour except the NPC so keep items you will eb able to use and is good or has a high durability for the npc
you will need a lot of ingame gold because the general population is greedy
and skills
one last thing
skills come in batches of 6 so level 1 skills you will need 6 level 1 books to get toe level 2
ie 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 2
