Ad-Remover(s) : SB Submissions

Attached is a simple ad remover which when ran, checks your shadowbane folder every 10 seconds for the ad placement and then removes it.

If you dont want to run the programs you can prevent the ads by doing the following:

Go into the drive you have shadowbane installed and go to the directory shown:
eg. E:\GAMES\Shadowbane\DoubleFusion\cache\data

Once in the data folder sort by details and open up the folders with numbers (the numbers may be different than shown in the example) that have the most current date, there should be 3 of them.
eg. E:\GAMES\Shadowbane\DoubleFusion\cache\data\95253-640-480

Open the .bik files with Notepad.


Select everything by pressing (Ctrl+A) and just hit your 1 key to erase everything and place a 1 in it's place. Go to File then save or (Ctrl+S). Close the Notepad.


Your next step will be to right click the .bik file and go to Properties.


In that window make sure you select Read-only and click OK. If you don't do this step and you try to open up SB it will re-write everything and you will have to start over.


Do this to all of them and you will not see any ads. Once they ad another ad just find the .bik file that is not 1kb and do these steps to those. You will not have to open up any program. It's a do it once and forget it. If you have any questions or any problems just let me know and I can help you out in vent. Good luck.

I did it the manual way that you had listed, was simple to do and I dont have to worry about opening up a program.

Yea, I at first used the one I posted in the attachment but then went with the manual way.
