We have implemented notifications on the site again. By default now all users will be notified of replies to posts they made. You can easily turn it off if thats not your things by just going to your user profile and under post settings select no for notify on replies.

Here is a link for the lazy :)

ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post

Also you can subscribe to forums and topics. So if you want to get notifications when your favorite gw2 exploiting section gets some new stuff, well now you can.

Ha sorry. Yea we added it for new members as its a nice way to get notifications and i have gotten a bunch of pms that peopel wanted this. Its easy to turn off and so i wanted to make sure people could know how to turn it off. Also added a part in every email that says this

(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))):
If you want to disable all topic notifications, use the link below.

ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post

After logging in change "Notify me upon replies by default:" to no

Don't want to bug anyone at all just trying to help members with that. Working on helping viper with a good gw2 video and then enabling mchat based on user decisions.

I just tested it and its working as intended. Whew i was worried. Basically the way its set up is it gave your notifications on all previous topics you posted in when it was enabled.

So this topic for example you are subscribed to now. But its easy to turn off. All you need to do is go to your profile and look under subscriptions and unsubscribe to them. Click at the bottom of that page where it says select all and then hit unsubscribe. Its real easy to do, if you are having any problems just tell me and i can do it for you :).

Sorry about the notifications annoying you, wasn't my intention at all, was after a way to help old and new members gets this feature and allow them to easily turn it off if they wanted too.

Also you only get one notification on a topic since you lasted posted. So if you just posted on a topic and 10 people posted after you. You will only get one notification until you reply to it again.

Hey Admin,
could it be that there is a problem with this function?
I cant remember that I ever received a mail from that forum-section-subscription-function, or is it a problem with gmail?
Thank you in advance

With my website, people with Yahoo and Aim emails, completely miss my emails. FAQ states because of this, that they should not use these services if they want to get a sub. It's an annoyance to the extreme.

Do make sure you check your spam box, find all instances, and then mark them as not spam, so that the email system will forward them to your inbox instead.
