This is my mod to bring back the PreNGE style GUI to SWG NGE.

To install this mod, use an archiving utility such as Winzip, ExtractNow!
or WinRAR to extract the files in this ZIP archive to your main SWG
directory (usually C:\Program Files\Star Wars Galaxies).
Make sure to uninstall any old or incompatible versions of mods first
(see the next section of this readme for instructions on how to do it).
Start the game and enjoy!

Note: This mod will put folders with some files in the game directory
that will be used instead of the files in the game. No actual SWG game
files will be overwritten. You can only run part of the files or all of
them at once for the full experience. Read section three on which files
do what. Feel free to simply rename or delete the files you do not wish
to use from the appropriate folder of your SWG directory.


To uninstall the mod, simply remove the files/folders that you extracted,
from your SWG directory.

- PreNGE Buttonbar position isnt saved on Restart.
- PreNGE Buttonbar will not fade or turn off with CTRL+SHIFT+H

- You will need to remove you current *.uis files from your 'SWG/Profiles/User/Server/' folder to fix a deadzone issue if using the new PreNGE Menubar. This will unfortunately reset your
window positions and toolbar settings. If using the 'alternate' NGE style Menubar, then there is no need to do this.



I dont recommend using mods on TC, as they may conflict with the constant changes within the test environment. Also its too much work to constantly update the ui every few days to work on TC. Use at your own risk.

Health & Action displays for targets and Player were previously using mostly unmodified preNGE ui files. I have completely redone these to be more compatible with the current live versions.
This is part of the updates I've been meaning to do for a while, which will make it both easier for me to update in future and to make sure features are compatible with live.

I'm still deciding what to do with the chat boxes, as currently my version works better with detached windows than the live version. Also the "fade chat window" option works differently on both. In the live version this option fades the silver skin, in the preNGE version it minimizes the chat window, leaving only the command box.

The centred chase camera will swap between the 'above head' view, to the 'behind head' view. If you prefer the 'over-shoulder' view to 'behind head' view, simply use the version in the 'alternate camera' folder.
Also if you want the cursor to behave like it did preNGE, instead of stuck behind your head, you can go into your Options panel, under controls you will find "Mouse Deadzone Inertia", Set that to 10 and "Mouse Deadzone", Set that to 200, this will duplicate preNGE controls.

PreNGE menubar doesnt have the "expertise" button. If you wish to use this preNGE menubar, you will need to assign 'Expertise' to a hot key. Otherwise use the NGE, space style,
popup menu included as default. You can find the horizontal menu in the 'alternate menu' folder.

The "Alternate Toolbar" folder contains the PreNGE Themed toolbar without the "Bigicon" on the right side.

The "Alternate Toolbar 2" folder contains a toolbar with spacing between the 4th - 5th and the 8th - 9th rows to resemble that of the adjustable preNGE toolbar. Unfortunately I couldnt find a way to make it resize correctly so I have made it fixed in its expanded position. The other issue relating to the resizing was the text labels under the primary buttons. As these were locked in place and wouldnt line up with the expanded rows, I had to hide them. This shouldnt have any effect on gameplay.

Inside the UI & Camera folders are "Alternate" folders with some optional components. All explained in section "V. Included Files" of the readme.

As always you can remove one or all of the HUD components individually from the ui folder or use the alternate versions to suit your own tastes.

If you have any issues when launching SWG.
First do a "full scan" after installing any new mods, also make sure you have removed any previous
mods before updating, if this doesnt work, I suggest a deletion of the numbered *.uis files from
your SWG/Profiles/User/Server/ folder. This will unfortunately reset your HUD and Toolbar, but
overcome any configuration problems related to the old ui mods.

though I have one question...is it possible to relocate the system menu button? Mine shows up about 3 inches from the bottom of my window...and since I have a chat window right next to it the menu loads up behind the chat window...which is rather annoying.

now if only they would get rid of the fps gameplay I might be able to tolerate this game again...

Yah ive been playing with the button menu, but there must be some form of checking involved as any small changes to that file will crash the game. Still looking into it in my spare time (which there isnt right now). The only way to move it currently is to hex edit the position in your .uis files.

The TC patch is a beta patch for TC only. PLease do not install it on live. There will be a final version for when publish 30 goes live.

As always. Please make sure you remove the previous versions before installing, as sometimes different files are included.
