I can get the macro dialog to appear, but I can't get either mouse only, Text only, or Mouse/text macros to work properly. Options dialog indicates I'm using Marco v2. Is there a newer version? I set this up today, and it sounds like others are having success with makinig macros in SWG and I'm feeling left out

Gone from bad to worse - updated video drivers - now I'm getting a general protection fault in the SWGClient_R.

Someone throw me a bone before I throw my PC out the window!

Reboot your computer.

When you bring up the macro window once in game, uncheck and check the mouse/keyboard checkbox. Record and playback your macro.

I have rebooted the system several times. Running xUnleashed against the 8 and 9 Direct-X tests works fine and no errors appear in the log file. When launching SWG, I can get through terms, authentication and the SWG patch screen. As soon as the monitor display changes and the SWG splash screen is supposed to appear I get the following error:

Windows - A fatal exception OE has occured at 015F:DFF9DBA7 The current application will be terminated

Followed by:

SWGClient_R caused a general protection fault in module User.exe at 0007:0000675d.

System becomes highly unstable and requires reboot.

SWR runs properly without xUnleashed running.

Any thoughts?

I've got the latest version, latest vid drivers from NVIDIA, and .NET Framework 1.1.

Reinstall the lastest video drivers.

THEN

reinstall directx9.

Do a critical windows update.

Wyvern -

Followed your advice - Reinstalled vid drivers, rebooted; Reinstalled directx9, rebooted; checked windows updates ; launched XU and then SWG.

App returned a different error - MSTASK caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.dll at ...

Any other suggestions? (Besides picking up XP?)

Update: rebooted again, noticed I had a service unchecked; XUnleashed seems to be working fine now; Of course SWG's server is down. Macros running at the char creation screen work. An easy way to notice something improved was the fact that the mouse cursor is no longer is hidden by the XUnleashed window and will be displayed over top.

I'll let you know if any other issues come up - pure testing won't happen until SWG's certain server is unlocked.

Thanks for the advice Wyvern!

Update: Did some more testing and found the following issues:

The following log error is still displayed:
07/20/03 03:51:12 PM ERROR: Requested DirectX9 Screen Format is not currently compatable with XUnleashed.

Secondly: Cycling through the SWG options->graphics->Disable Hardware Mouse causes XUnleashed to cause exceptions, or causes the mouse pointer to be displayed undernieth the Unleashed macro dialog box.

Third: When the mouse is displayed properly (i.e. is drawn over the Unleashed macro dialog) the mouse macro will accurately record and play back mouse movement, but the on screen dialog box buttons will not 'highlight' when the recorded mouse play is played back, nor will mouse clicks be recorded.

Overall still unstable....

1. That is normal for some dx9 games. XU will just use compatability mode. If you are seeing XU Graphics on the screen, then XU is working normally.

2. I would suggest not using that option.

3. Not sure really what you are talking about.

It sounds like your system is just not compatible with XU. While we try to make XU compatible with all OS/configurations, it is just not possible to cover them all. If you have used XU for less than 15 days, I would suggest that you email us for a refund.

XU Team.

Woohoo!

Bought XP and installed over my old Win 98 system. Had to completely wipe Win98 (upgrade option didn't like my old system).

Reloaded SWG, xUnleashed and bingo! Perfect scripting.

Nice product.

God I hope that is not what I will have to do. I have a mis nforce 2 delta chipset motherboard. I can't use xp on my system till i get different ram for it seems my motherboard is picky about using certain brands of ram when trying to use xp. I have not really had any errors hardly but I know I am not getting any mouse clicks or keyboards strokes being recorded just mouse movements.

Be sure to test unchecking the mouse, keyboard and mouse/keyboard checkboxes, and then recheck the mouse/keyboard checkbox. Some have reported that if they do that, it will pick up the mouse and keyboard.
