I used to play SWG when it first came out. I quit after the CU hit, then started again after the NGE. I then quit a month later. I'm wondering if I should start playing again, I really like the game, I just don't know if its worth $15 a month. Does the game's heart still beat, or is it a dead game? I'm on the Flurry server, by the way.

Well if you like a game with no challenge and no reward, then you will love it.
Everything is really easy. Its a solo game.
Many of the smaller servers have died. People have transferred to busier servers to take up the slack.
Trouble is now on those planets you can barely move , because its an endless urban sprawl of dead housing.

Anach (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): Well if you like a game with no challenge and no reward, then you will love it. Everything is really easy. Its a solo game.

This is true. Once you get all the high end loot, and you are decked out from head to toe, all that's really left is PvP and house decorating, lol.

what they say is true, swg has a poor population and is at many times very boring. its fustrating because it actually is a very awesome game, and of course its star wars! but when so many people left the game it did basically kill it...

its a sad thing, i think swg is a really awesome game atm, and im talking about soe's version. but it is in the trash can im afraid, just too many people loved it the way it was. and they only care about the way it was.
i play on "eclipse" and all i hear about is how bored everyone is, and everyone is right, there just isnt much to do for the older players - and thats another problem, there just arent enough 'if any" new players.
the population on eclipse may be 100 people at the most at times.
and now the emu is creeping up and close to being done and released - we will see a much bigger decrease in all the galaxies once the emu is released.

I suggest finding a great band of players to embark on your adventures with. If you are a soloist then this game is not for you. You will find that it is not rewarding. Worry about having fun, not whether you are better than everyone else or if this or that person is exploiting. I try to have fun and the guild I am in is great. I believe having a great guild in any game makes it more than just a game. Honestly, the most well-rounded game is WoW but it is dead-stupid easy to play. Opinions aside; If you can find yourself a great guild, you may like it. If you are looking for something else, then look into LOTR or Vanguard when they are done screwing that one up. Personally, I play a FPS and later in the day play SWG with my friends. Maybe you should swap between the 2 like I do so you do not burn yourself out.
