lol. If you are speaking of the looted 75m range 950+ dmg weapons as uber. Then let me explain something to you.
First. Those weapons have anywhere from 200-300 minimum damage less than a high end quest or craft item. Though they only have up to 100 points more max dmg. SO around 200-950 dmg for a good one and about 150-900 for average one. COmpared to a quest item with around 425-850.
If you opponent is PVP then its likely they will have high agility. Which directs your weapon down towards the lower end of the scale. Which is a lot lower min than a quest/crafted weapon.
Also the 75m range is a bug and its fixed in next publish.
Futhermore. if you are BH you can get the GLC with 850 max and 155 elemental. Which is higher than any looted item ive seen and it has higher min damage too.
Next. Specials dont work with looted weapons. Which is a bug, but a very big important bug.
So in theory you are very much likely to be doing far less damage with one of these uber loot weapons than with a quest reward weapon.
Then the last most important thing which negates all this. Is damage is based on Level at the moment. Not Weapon stats. So you might as well be using a CDEF level 1 weapon. You will get much the same effect. Possibly a small amount less. The only thing that matters right now is your choice of energy or kinetic dmg types.
On the note of those level 500 jedi. they only drop credits.
THose weapons you seek are from normal NPC, non elites of varying levels. Though I havent seen one drop since publish 28. Maybe something to do with being completely bugged (specials and range).
I spend most my time hunting for stat clothes anyway right now.
If they do drop, they arent worth much and you wont see them used in PVP. Though people still pay big money for them from my vendors.

Ok dude you have some stuff right and i tested it last night. This weapon with 950 max damage does way more then my 450-850 made cube weapon with +12 stren on it. 75 m range works perfect. We also tested this weapon in duels with my buddies as well as other TOP weapon made from cube. This jawa ion rifle does far more damage then it does. Second of all this morning your wrong about the level 500 jedi they dropped now my 3rd piece of clothing and jewlery which has 4 mods each on it. Just to let u know im confirming level 500 jedi are dropping good stuff at this moment.

Yes maybe wrong about what the jedi drop now,but there are many other things out there easier to kill that drop 3-4 stat items frequently. In the past those jedi have been nothing but credits.
Read my post again. 75m works at the moment, but with next publish it wont. That is less than a month away.
I doubt your jawa ion does 'far more' Damage. Damage isnt based on weapons. Its based on what is in your character sheet. Have a look at the damage stat where you check yoru total armour stats and such in your character sheet. That is the damage the equiped weapon is doing. By equiping a weapon that has 100+ stats , you might only get a max of 20 extra bonus to your damage in your character sheet.
Now to work out if your weapon is doing more damage, you need to average the number over time. The only way to do this is with fraps and slow mo video. Or you lose count.
You dont have to believe me. You can continue your ignorance on this subject and how the game actually works, or you can believe me and everyone else in the offical forums who have discussed and tested this since NGE launched. As well as the input from the devs themselves.
Weapon based damage is coming back after pub29.
Though elemental damage dots will be more imporatnt then. So again your looted weapons wont really be all that great.
Did you happen to test the fact that specials arent working with looted weapons. They fire off, but the damage doesnt tick.
In the meantime ill keep selling these useless weapons to people for silly money. Ill stick to my level 80 nyms, level 80 hyper rifle and my GLC.
Im just trying to save you some time, money and help you have abetter chance in a fight, but its up to you.
