Should we still pay for SWG : Star Wars Galaxies Discussions

I think SWG should be like guildwars and not pay to play. The game is nolonger good anymore....on lowcca server we lost 65% of people from the game because of the NGE. I had a friendslist of 100 people.....i only see 4-5 of them left on that list that still play

In all honesty SWG was converted to the crap it is for one reason. *Consoles*

to think about it - why else make such a diverse and interactive game so mind numbingly boring. I was a great fan of SWG. But what they have don is massacred the game. Without a care in the world and this will be the downfall.

Yes, If we want to play it we have to pay them for their service. Even if it is a rip-off. If it were like guild wars where you only buy it once I would go for that. It is worth $39 dollars but not 15 a month.

I thought it was supposed to release for consoles but I never saw it. I'd rather play KoToR then SWG.

Also, the reason SWG costs monthly is that it takes 5 years for most MMO's to pay off any production fee's. these include the inital setup, maintinance, servers, and employee's, not to mention copyright royalties.

SWG isnt worth it anymore its running about of content since most people where pretty much already lvl60+ when they started NGE. I started to play for about a week after the update now I havent logged on for about 3 weeks. Anyone want to buy an account

SWG is still good unless your pre-cu and know how much better it was...

well i stopped playing swg and im waiting for Knights of the Old Republic Online to come out...from all the forums its said to be the game that beats wow xD altho it pisses me off because while it was announced by Bioware that they are making it...they havent given us anything yet...no screenshots...no story line...no in game info...nothing at all but i still cant wait for it xD

I don't know if we will be seeing the KOTOR MMO in 2009, I'm hoping, But it really doesn't look like its coming so soon.

But about SWG, I tossed the game after playing on and off for 4 years. Had an elder jedi, Almost every item you could think of, Was a good PvPer, And still wasn't fun. The game needs to be put to rest, Its bad. I would even say i Enjoyed AoC more then it, And AoC was pretty Horrible. I mean yes SWG does have its good points, But still whats there to really do in the game? The PvP is very boring IMO and once you get all you need it drags

But while I wait for this KOTOR MMO, I will be playing WAR, Its very fun and has some good people running it, If you can look past the graphics. I would Recommend it.

But to the people who still actually play SWG, I have to say I dont know how you do it. Not being sarcastic or Rude, Just I would be going out of my mind by now. Hell, with all the frequent Class changes, Nerfs, Unbalances, And crappy content being added it drove me nuts!
