STAT'S - Just how important are they? : Star Wars Galaxies Discussions

Ok everyone. I have a lightside build, not that should matter here but anyways just thought I'd throw it in. No matter what stats I use.....either maxing in one (Jewlery, because I wear my elder robe) or mix and matching stats. The duel results always come out the same everytime. No worse no better. What is everyone elses findings now that we have a combat log? This would also go with the argument O.R. Vs Jinzu. (I use Jinzu) Since stats mean crap. And yes I understand the whole STR vs AGIL = outcome of damage and crits. But guess what, aint worth it. Now for the opinions of the masses to flow in

I see alot of glacing blows and deal alot more criticals with my jedi and an OR hilt. But then, I have over 300 on both strength and agility...

Depends how your strength/precision is vs the other persons agility.

Luck will give you more chance to crit . Str/prec will raise your dmg into the higher portion of your weapons min-max.

Agility will raise chance to dodge (glancing blows)

Most people have theirs chosen stat up over 500-600. Depending who they have in their group.

Again depends who you are fighting, and how high their opposing stats are and what stat they have chosen to go with their template.

There are so many factors and chance involved,t that its hard to say. The general rule is to stick to one stat, unless you have multi stat items.

Absolutely, I used to stick to agility and strength until I managed to get these nice 4 stat items I used now.

Those help me to get strength, constitution, stamina and agility all over 300 each

if you notice, most people will pay obscene ammounts of money for 4 stat items that have something like this

Stamina +22
Agility+17
Strength +20
Precision+20

who can tell me whats wrong with this picture?

it is really only a 3 stat item, because strength is a melee stat and precision is a ranged stat, so one of your stats will be useless, but i see ppl pay 30+ mil for them all the time.... funny

Exactly, unless you are just as much concerned about your melee as your ranged.

I've gotten most mine for no more than 500k each.

Some people use the trade forums without even looking on the bazaar first.

I think you just need a good Strength/Agility. but then again, I haven't been on SWG that long..and can't say alot. so yeah..lol
