Let me first say that I am trying this IN my house, in a corner with graphics turned down.
P4 2.4
1gig DDR 400mhz
ATI 9000 pro
Once the record button is hit everything seems to lag in the UI. If I take pieces of paper, stick them on my screen. and click each one in order I can make a fairly fast macro.
BUT if I were to wait for each screen to pop up, the macro, to craft one simple object would take over 4 minutes! Is this a know problem that you are working on?

I have it listed on probems to analyze. I am trying to reproduce the problem, but I cant. Now, I am using a p2.4 with 512 megs ram, and a G4200 with winXP.
Do this for me. Record a macro (using the 4 minutes method) and exit xu. open up the macro folder, and tell me how BIG the file size is? It could be that your macro file is getting spammed with large amounts of mouse movements or something.

File is 282kb.
On one more note, it has worked almost properly once, I was ALT/TAbbing in and out of game, reading the forums here.
When I came back into game, I went to set up a macro and the delay wasn't nearly as bad between Click and Acknowledgement in game.
This has only happened once where the reaction time improved.... Boy I wish I would have saved that macro....

can you email me that 282kb file. That is a HUGE file. I am guessing that your mouse is spamming the macro window and causing the lag by the hard drive doing lots of writes. Email it to xunleashed@excite.com
If it is as my line of reasoning, I can tune down the mouse movements recording and that will fix the problem.

actually, I deleted the file already....
What I did the bypass this whole thing was the following....
Went through and crafted 1 item WITHOUT hitting the record button, and stuck LITTLE peices of paper on the screen where ever I had to click. Then I hit the record button and followed the pieces of paper, knowing with ones required a little bit of delay.. Like when you double click to put a resource into the slot to craft..
Took me a total of about 30seconds. And the UI in game actually finished after about 1 1/2 -2 minutes.
Anyhow, I did this and the macro came out perfect, no lag when I hit play. So it isn't a issue where the Record option is taking forever to record a movement or click....
Since im not sure how Xunleased really works... This is my theory, however lame it must be. Xunleashed, steals the mouse movement and clicks when record is hit, such in manner where it can record it, after recording it parses it back into the UI of the game and has the game execute it.... Ahh I dunno.... I will see if I can get that large file to pop back up again... and email it to you.
Thanks again for your quick responces.. Let me know if there is anything Else you would like me to try.

Hitman, if you could record a macro that lags your system, and email us, we could analyze the file and try to fix the problem. If the file appears to be normal movements, it will let us know it is a different problem. But, with a file that big, it just sounds like there are alot of unnecessary recorded items in it.

Not to be silly or anything, but I really liked your solution! =0 I can just see all the little pieces of paper stuck to your monitor, makes me laugh a litte!
Hey, though, at least you got it figured out!!
I've noticed something, which I think is more annoying than ever, it is an SWG problem though. Everytime I go into a house that has a lot of furniture or items I lag out bad. I've got a massive system too. I wonder if house lag has something to attribute to your problems with the macro. Have you tried it outside?
