Just purchased this program tonight, and I have to say that the idea is great, but the implementation is pretty terrible.
It crashes SWG fairly regularly. The times it doesn't crash it, it stops working while I am trying to program it.
Whoever gave XU a "Full compatibility" rating with SWG, should be given a swift kick in the balls. You are a liar.

I just got the program and its running fine on my machine.. not one crash.. or problem, but i'm not the person to be asking help from (atleast not yet anyway.. i'm still learning all the cool things this program can do) but I will suggest before you get too upset to ask the forum admin or moderators for some advice on how to correct your problem. The one thing I can say is , shutdown your anti virus software, (or uninstall it for a little while) and check to see if that helps. Thats about the only suggestion I can make at this juncture. But try asking for help from the mods here first. Its really a wonderful program.
Kthxbye

Here are some specific problems I have:
1. Macro stops after a few loops, and brings up the menu, without me hitting F12.
2. The macro sometimes simply won't play or allow you to record. The toolbar on the bottom is there, and I can bring up the macro menu, but neither play nor record do anything.
3. As mentioned, XU crashes SWG many times. Every single time, in fact. If you stop and start the macro enough times (we're talking a handful here), the program becomes unstable, and then crashes SWG.
4. I hit F12 to stop the macro, but it continues. I have to go into the menu and hit stop.
I'm going to go through the motions to request a refund. Please understand, I wouldn't just come here and start barking about the product, without having specific, repeatable, issues to report. I'd be happy to work with the dev to test features. However, I won't pay for software that has so many problems. This software shouldn't be charging $20... maybe $5 until all the bugs are fixed.

Did you turn off all antivirus programs?
Some you have to go into your system services and manually dissable them.
Others are running SWG and playing macros with out any problems, so I'm thinking it is something on your system causing it.
As always though, admins have a 15 day money back guarantee.

Pardon me. Yes, I did disable my anti-virus. What I will also do is to be sure that all unnecessary services are disabled.
Trust me, I would like nothing more than this to work. I would be ecstatic if it did. Here's hoping!

Disabling extra services made absolutely no difference. I made sure that no other programs were running as well, in addition. It still crashes me back to the desktop. I would just like someone to advise me what to try next. I don't mind trying things, I just want some solid answers here.

peteyboy23, does it crash if you do not use the macro plugin?
Is the macro plugin causing the crashes?
From your post, it appears that you are having problems stopping scripts and have to hard stop them using the stop button? That is a last resort, and the code I have to stop the plugins is fairly nasty (the stop button) and that might be directly related to your problems. If we can get the f12 key to stop the plugins it might fix your crashes.

Ok, I tried another method of running the macro, and that seems to cause less crashes... BUT! I have to record it right the first time. Attempting to record the macro a 2nd time bombs it out. I am not using a plugin, as far as I know, only choosing SWG as the game, and doing a recording in the game itself.
Yes, Admin, utilizing F12 to stop the script is 9 times out of 10 useless. Again, I'd be happy to try whatever... so let's work on this together. Thanks.

By plugin, the admins mean what do you run from the XU Task bar? Ie, when you bring the the macro plugin it is what you click record/play/F12 on.
Do you use the RT Chat logger for SWG?
etc.
If you do not use the macro plugin, do you still crash?

I run the XU macro from the toolbar on the bottom... does that answer your question? If not, I'm a little confused.
I don't use the chat logger.

ok, if you do not use the macro plugin do you still crash?
I think the admin is trying to determine if it is xu or the macro plugin causing your crashes.

No it won't crash. But, the only reason for me to use the software is the macro plugin.

Ok, so it narrows it down to just the macro plugin causing the problems.
And more importantly, it seems like it is narrowed down to the recording or macros not the playback of them.
Can you do one more test? Can you see if you crash just by playing macros and not recording them?
Now as for recording, you have ALL antivirus-services dissabled in the services control panel from windwos?

Why should this program require the disabling of all antivirus programs, thats like saying in order to use this program you have to open your computer to online threats and risk losing your computer.
I'm having the same problems as described in this thread, yet I dont feel safe disabling my antivirus as I've had many viruses in the past. Isn't there any other way around this?

Actually, MOST online games suggest dissabling the antivirus software in their online support forums.
If you are getting really bad lag, that is the culprit. The reason is that the antivirus software is constantly looking at the files in memory for virii. Due to the nature of directx, it requires system api's and code to keep refreshing the screen and have a nice fast framerate. But when the antivirus is hogging the system calls and continues checking for virii, you get the lag.
