I DO NOT take credit for the Macros/Original information in this thread. My "work" is in combining all this information into a single and hopefully less confusing list for easier reference.

First and foremost.

Starting on Tansarri if you choose to.

In my experience as playing a Jedi/Ent, Commando/Ent

For the Commando I made two trial accounts and created two toons aside from my main account with each on the same server, so I was able to give myself an additional 12+ Frag grenades as they can be traded which you get for your first Mando mission (comes in handy in the Droid room), though you can give yourself more if you delete the toons and create more sans the 15 minute wait time.
(I am pretty sure this is already known)

After the initial starting profession quest. I will head to the Droid level (lower level via elevator) and grind to level 10.
Using the knowledge from another thread of not clicking on "Complete" for a mission this will come in handy later.
Original thread here: http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpbb2/ab ... toon_.html

This also works for the under level 10 quests as well. I found that after grinding to level 10 on the station (if commando is relatively easy with AOE.)

For the Entertainer I was able to use the Ent macro and level to 10 in the Cantina easily on the station. (info below)

What this does, is in doing the stations quests, gives you your starting instrument so if you want to do quests as an Ent in Mos Eisley you will need that instrument.

I level to 10 before I leave, run all the quests on the station as to get loot, XP, money etc. I did not however "complete" the missions as I saved them for getting to Mos Eisley.

When doing the missions on the station, I grab all the missions I can from each NPC. I will run all the station quests first by level of station, lower level, then upper level, then return for turn ins.

A couple of quests (Inaldra, Red Corsair etc) have you run back down or up, but most can be done in one sweep. I will then head to Gamma station and knock out the 4-5 missions there in one sweep.

What I will do is use the shuttle first, then shuttle back immediately then fly to Gamma, do the ground quests, then fly the ship out to get the smuggler update, then back to Tansarii. This takes a little time, but I do so, not to have to back track.

BEFORE LEAVING THE STATION:
I am a collections nut, so there are two things to work on @ the station. There is also a Dust Dunni Collection, (gives a feather duster and some XP.)

If you are not aware, there is a space badge if you complete the Black Sun missions and you can not come back later to get this badge so this is a one time deal.

After Leaving the Station:

Moving to Mos Eisley, go back to your journal and complete those early missions, you get the loot/creds and enough XP to put you roughly halfway to level 11 then proceeded to swap class (talk to the Counselor to the right of the exit of the star port, and using the macro (link to thread below) and level to 90 Entertainer.

BEFORE YOU START USING THE THIRD PART OF THE MACRO please read the following.
My experience in using all of the dances in the macro @ the same time with out having the level to do so, has cause connection issues for me.
I am not sure if others have experienced similar but i have found that if I add 3-4 dances @ a time as I start to unlock them, that I will not lost connection.

(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))):
Level 5 to 90 Ent in 2-3 hours.

After I hit 90, I then proceed to the planet of Lok and talk to Nym's associate Jinkins to start the Slug Thrower quest.
Yes an Ent is designed for hand to hand combat though can still use a weapon. I us the Slug Thrower to AFK farm loot/creds in Mos Espa.
The quest takes about 45 minutes running back and forth between three locations.

What this also does is if you are a weapon capable toon is give you an alright starting weapon for running the legacy quests as a level 90 toon. So you can either go hand to hand or use the Thrower (player preference).

As has been discussed here before, doing the Leg Quests @ level 90 is a cake walk. (I had a guildie make me a set of armor and a really nice hand to hand weapon).

While I was doing the Legacy quests I took things a step further and yes it will take a little longer but also ended up giving me another 6-7 levels when I finished as using the Collections listing (link- http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/post ... 582283#top )
In doing the collection runs I also picked up most of the POI/Exploration badges as well.

Many collection pieces ie armor and weapons are often found while doing most of the Leg quests so you are not going out of your way if you follow the way points.

I picked up almost all of the collection pieces I came across, for a good portion of the locations on Dathomir/Dant and the higher level planets/zones (NOT PART OF LEG QUESTS) I had a guild mate come along and tank the aggro as we both were working on the collections. The "trick" to doing the collections is to get all but one piece of each and most of those last pieces I saved for Tantooine as when I eventually respec back to combat class I can easily get those pieces and complete the collections thus all the XP associated with completing them.

In doing this, I went from level 5 to 50 with out a hitch as a Jedi.

I was looking for a location of fast re-spawn for Tuskens as I was looking for Tusken pieces and found a way point about 900m W/NW of the Tusken Fort. (I don't remember where I found the way point but I googled Tusken, spawn + SWG.) There is a Commoner a Chief and a Bantha that spawn the Commoner is ever minute to minute 30 seconds, the Chief is every 5 minutes same with the Bantha and the reason this is relevant is that the Commoner apparently levels up with each kill. Meaning that it starts around level 38-42 and after about 5 hours of AFK grinding I woke up to find my two toons fighting a level 73-75 Tusken Commoner and level 38-42 Chief and Bantha.

Now here is the neat part. When I dropped my Jedi (level 51) from grouped with my level 90 Ent w/ the Slug thrower. I would do out of group damage with the Ent, and direct damage with my Jedi. I was able to get credit for killing the Tusken and after a number of trys I was getting 1300-1700XP per kill. Also with an additional 200-300 XP from killing the Bantha so yes, that is about 1500-2000 +/- XP per 2-3 minutes while using an Ent/Medic buffed level 51 Jedi.

Also just for shits and giggles I went back with my Jedi and was able to solo the Tusken. I would fight one, kill it, back off to heal while waiting for the next spawn.

Now this doesn't give as much XP as quests, and yes I could move on to Kash or somewhere else, but non the less it was fun taking on a level 70ish mob @ 20 levels lower.

For those that are more experienced with the game, may not see this as a big deal, but for me it was fun.

I was also looting a number of Tusken collectables and some are more rare then others, though I was able to get at least 5 completed collections out of the encounters.

I did some rough math and the numbers are not exact but with the Tusken being level 73-75, and granting about 1.3k to 1.7k per kill and @ level 51 needing about 150k xp, that is a little over 100 kills. So if someone were to grind that, your looking @ around 2-3 hours, again rough math.

This is not precise so save the flaming.

This is my experience based on the information I have found here and through other information I have come across on the net and how I applied it.

Currently I am working on a Commando and will run the collection way points as well as doing the leg quests while a level 90 Ent and see how that turns out.

Hopefully this will help others.

Addendum there is an Update to the Legacy quests per SOE as if you start the Meat Lumps set, part of this is a continuation. I don't have any knowledge of the same idea applies regarding the "completing" of the quests as mentioned above.

Really nice guide, Phelan. I've been away from SWG for 3 years and am now returning for a change of scene and wanted to start a new character.

I just wanted to clarify a point if you can help:

What is the point in running the Legacy Quest as a lvl 90 Ent? Aside from it obviously being easy, do you 'bank' all the combat and quest XP, so that it all comes flooding back when you respec?

Just to see if I have this right:
I level an Ent to 90, run him through the legacy and nyms quests and maybe pick up the collections (except for the last part of each). I then respec to a combat class and become lvl 5. But due to the quests that I completed etc, I become lvl 40ish? I then finish off the last part of each collection, which gets me another 7 or so levels?

Do you have to finish the quests but not 'complete' them so that you can hand them in after you have respecced?

Am I understanding you correctly?

If so, awesome job, well done and thanks for sharing! I'll definitely be trying this :)

When you talk to an NPC or get the question finished window that pops up with the award etc and it has the "accept" and "cancel" button. Either click cancel or the "x" in the upper right corner of the window. This saves the completion part of that quest. So you can go back later, open your journal, show quests by level and "complete" each quest, getting the full XP and rewards.
