How to stop spacehip component decay

I was happily grinding away in my nova with 2 friends .. had my capacitor overload programs running (which you all know needs to be repaired despite reading 100% when u hit planet side) when i got to wondering what would happen if i use the escape pod on my ship , would i lose the nova from my data pad if i transported back to mos eisley . would my friends be lost in space for ever without a captain ?. The temptation was to much to resist and anyway i could always blame it on a bug or something. So without a second though for my crew members safety, i pushed the button and boom went my nova .

But heres the strange thing,the ship gets repaired for free. And when i landed on mos eisley and checked the ships systems no repairs were required for the overloaded parts as per normal when running oveload chips

This is working as intended, not an exploit. It was in the development notes a few months back.

but i would also like to warn space grinders afk leveling from kash space using macros , rubber bands / or taped mouses to kill tier 1 ships .

despite SOEs policy thats says u can afk grind as long as u dont use third party programs .

they will stop u grinding afk and dump u on a planet in the middle of no where sans ship ( ie i got dumped twice on dath in the middle of the nightsisters labour camp with lvl 88 npcs and my ship was on mos eisley .

Well, if you're preventing the normal play of another character, they will remove you. Find a spawn that isn't used alot and you'll be ok. They will not ban you unless you insist on preventing other players from being able to access content. You've got to realize that some of those static spawns are part of missions.
