make a character on any server delete the character create a few new ones and delete them as you wish then go to the following path

my computer\local disk (harddrive)\program files\starwarsgalaxies\charavter list

then copy and paste the name and server and the extra bits at the end of a character already on the server then change the name bit to the character that you deleted then when you start up swg on the bit where you select your charcters (before actually running the game on the whatever its called) pick the new character there

If its working for you, have you tested it for longer than 10 days? Im worried that even if it does work that the account will still be flagged as deleted on the server and will be purged.

This is going to be a big nay, it's not a nay yet, because I want to give him a fair chance. However, that character list text file is only there to give you the option to choose a character for login from the launchpad.
