BACKGROUND:
normaly the best shield you can hope for in JTL is a reverse engineered level8 reward shield with about 2500 hitpoints on both facings.
Back when JTL was launched, you could use the rebel droid programs front and rear adjust extreme to take two of these shields, and shift half of the hitpoints to the front facing and do the same for the rear facing. you then had a 3600/1200 shield and a 1200/3600 shield, and could reverse engineer them for a 3800/3800 shield.
SOE tried to patch this some time ago by making the front and rear shield facings balance upon landing, so you couldnt unload the shield with the hitpoints still shifted to one side, but there is a way to get around it by simply not landing.
WHAT YOU NEED:
2 reward shields
6 re-lvl8 shields as filler, try to get one with low mass and another with high recharge.
the rebel droid programs front and rear adjust extreme
2 server resets
HOW YOU DO IT:
the trick is to be flying with one of the 2 adjust programs running when the server goes down for a patch reset ect... when you log back in after the server goes live agian you will be on the ground, but the shield will still have all the hitpoints shifted to one side. strip the shield and NEVER put it back into a ship until you have reverse engineered it. just when you are about to log out for the night, park your ship next to a station with adjust running and put cap to shield shunt or some other command on a macro so that you dont time out while AFK for the rest of the night.
once you have a front or rear adjusted shield, do the same for the other facing, and then you will have a 4600/200 shield and a 200/4600 shield
reverse engineer these these 2 shields with 6 other lvl8 sheilds to get a 4800/4800 shield (you want to get one with less than 28k mass or so and another with a recharge somewhere over 14). what you end up with should look like the attached image. cram it into your jedi starfighter or whatever it is you fly and go obliterate any opposition in deep space.
