Use ur banes crystal against him so u get the electric crits that make u immune to his attacks. Then when he uses shields have another saber ready with a crystal that has heat dmg and u can go right thro his shield with the fire ticks.

this does work but it is posted in the jedi forums, or has been for a long time. also, any DOT will stick to a BH through their shields, which is why they are asking for a DOT immunity or DOT reduction when shields are up.

A Bane's doesn't give you immunity, just makes the next few hits "glancing blows" that will hit for minimum damage. Anything with electric elemental will do this, such as purple crystals, but a Bane's has the highest electrical elemental available currently.

In any case, this is all over the forums and been a hot topic there forever. Bane's is widely used as a PvP crystal for this reason.

Basically, hit with a Bane's Heart until it processes, then hit with a B'nar's Sacrifice/green crystal for an acid process to boost criticals for the next few hits, then follow up with a Lava/Sunrider's/red crystal for a heat DoT (Lava and Sunrider's both give the same amount of elemental damage). Rinse and repeat.

For a BH with shields activated, use acid and heat in combination. This will make the heat DoT hit harder. Shields has such a long cooldown timer he will be dead before being able to fire it off twice.

Best crystals to use are:

Acid (improved critical): B'nar's Scarifice (elder's only) or any green crystal if you have to

Electrical (glancing blows): Bane's Heart

Heat (Fire DoT): Sunrider's Destiny or Lava Crystal

Keep these sabers in your toolbar for fast changes.
